Founded in February 1965 by the late Jack Sturgeon, and Lynette Millard, now Lynette Denny, Mackay Musical Comedy Players Inc. is a not for profit community amateur theatre company, with a long history of entertaining Mackay audiences with quality productions of stage musi

cals. accepts associate members (under 18 years) and ordinary members (18 years and over) with an interest in live theatre. Performers, actors, singers, dancers, musicians, directors, musical directors, choreographers, stage managers, set designers, set constructors, props designers, costumieres of all abilities, painters, publicity, hair and make-up, backstage crew. MMCP are seeking 2 Indian or South Asian performers to bring the Indian influenced scenes in The Secret Garden to life.

Auditions will be held on Sunday 14 June between 12.30pm-1.30pm.

Indian or South Asian teen or adult male and female performers with vocal ability are encouraged to audition (Must be a minimum age of turning 13yrs or older in 2026).

✨ Principal auditions (Thursday & Friday nights) will be held in J Block at St Patrick’s College, Gregory Street — just follow the signs.
