Hey guys,

I havn’t posted in a while as I have had a lot on. I have some fish tanks available if anyone is interested. There are 4 of them and I am selling them at 170ea.

If you’ve been interested in getting into keeping fish. These tanks are perfect for a variety of different fish species.

The reason I am selling them is that I am heading in a different direction with my fish and am simplifying everything down to 1 or 2 bigger tanks.

I have posted a photo of the tanks. The top 2 tanks are clean now and ready for their new home.

Hey guys,

So a little update on the L333 spawning project. I had some endlers guppies in with these 4 L333. I thought that all of the L333 were males, but it turns outs that upon selling the endler guppies, a few days later the L333 spawned! 😱. So if your plecos aren’t spawning, it may be because they see the endler guppies or any other fish in the tank as predators. (The guppies you do see in the video are just fry from the endlers which the plecos don’t see as a threat as of yet. I was unable to take these out as there were too many to catch on the day of sale to the fish shop.

So one of the albinos is the father and one of the commons is the female. I know this because the fry have come out common coloured. But it would be interesting to see what comes out in the next batch, to see whether the common female is a split or not. So stay tuned!

A few weeks ago I was watching one of Kaity's Cichlids YouTube videos, and in that video she mentioned that Aquarium Central was doing a giveaway to win an FX6 cannister filter. I havn’t entered a competition for a long time, and I thought, well why not. A week or two later, the winner was to be drawn on a live video in which Aquarium Central was doing a fish unboxing of stock that they had received.

I was unable to tune in for the live video as I was at work, but afterwards I jumped on and watched the video. (There were some nice species of fish in that video). I’m glad to have entered their competition, as I was lucky enough to win the FX6 cannister filter, and I am super grateful of them to have sent me the filter as I live quiet a distance from there store. They are located in K***a Park and one day I would like to go and visit there store to see the range of fish and equipment that they have as I like to always have a browse at new fish stores when I get the chance to.

I have a big plan for this filter, I would like to use it as the heart of a 5-6ft display tank, I’m thinking possibly an Amazon, or river aquascape. It might not happen for a while but when it does, I will be sure to post photos and a video of the setup. If you get a chance, you should definitely head over to Kaity’s Cichlids on YouTube and check out her videos, she’s knowledgeable, and has also done a few fish store tours around South/North Brisbane area.

It isn’t easy taking photos of fish, but sometimes you get lucky 😁

L144 fry hatched. These guys weren’t breeding for me and it had been a couple of months. I then moved them into bigger tanks and seperated them into pairs and they bred, and now the eggs have hatched. Great success!

I took the fry out of this males log as they had finished absorbing their egg sacs. This is his 3rd batch of fry, and they have been breeding quite consistently about every 3 weeks. There was roughly 20-24 fry in this lot, it is a small batch for Peppermint bristlenose, but this pair had only just reached maturity so they both have more growing to do.
