A Sunday made for Dad, all thanks to Marlowe 🍷⁠

Chef Ollie Hansford’s Father’s Day menu brings the classics to the table, from beef cheek and ale pie to a 250g Sirloin with Onion Rings and Beef Jus, finishing with their King of Puddings for the perfect sweet ending.⁠

Their famous Bloody Mary cart will be rolling through the room as well, serving up the good stuff just how Dad likes them, alongside a hand-picked selection of premium wines chosen by their sommelier.⁠

Start on The Fox Rooftop with three hours of canapés, wine, beer and a cocktail in hand, with the fly-over at 4:30pm and fireworks from 7pm. Prefer to keep it casual? The Bistro & Public Bar is open all day for à la carte dining, drinks and walk-ins.⁠

From next week, the students from Liveworm will be taking over Fish Lane's garden banner (with a sneak peek being whipped up by Hannah here), transforming this space into a vibrant pocket celebrating emerging artists 🎨⁠

LIVEWORM is all about giving young creatives real-world experience while making our shared spaces a little more beautiful.⁠
⁠
One of the featured artists, Hannah Coughlin, drew inspiration from the Brisbane River and the sense of sanctuary it creates for both wildlife and people. Her work reflects that same feeling in Fish Lane; a welcome escape in the heart of the city, where creativity, culture and community come together.⁠

Then on Saturday 15 August from 1–3pm, join the AMPLIFY ME! artists in Town Square for a relaxed Drop-In & Draw session. Pull up a chair, sketch alongside the artists, pick up tips and tricks, and watch the city move around you. Whether you stay for ten minutes or the whole afternoon, it's the perfect excuse to get creative.
