This is the Official page for the Australian Reptile Park. The Australian Reptile Park is a hands-on zoo located in a natural bush setting on the Central Coast of NSW, home to exotic reptiles from around the world and a wide variety of Australian native animals. Enjoy live entertaining shows, themed exhibits and behind the scenes tours. Learn about conservation work undertaken by keepers including the Tasmanian devil breeding program at Aussie Ark, and our lifesaving snake and spider venom collection work. Only 60 minutes from Sydney or Newcastle, Australian Reptile Park is a centrepiece attraction of the greater Central Coast, Hunter Valley and Port Stephens regions.Look out for park mascot Ploddy the dinosaur visible on the mountain top before the Gosford exit heading north on the M1.

💕 To have a love like Giffo and Roosta 💕

Giffo hand-raised Roosta for a whole year: feeding, cuddles and plenty of hops around the backyard 🦘🏡

Now Roosta is ready for the next chapter. He’s started staying overnight at the Park and is slowly being introduced to our kangaroo mob 🌙 It’s a big step, and he’s doing an amazing job!

Even with lots of new friends, Giffo is still #1 in Roosta’s eyes 🥹 Keep an eye out for this pair on your next visit!

🦘 Happy World Kangaroo Day! 🦘

We have a very special new arrival to celebrate! Our keepers caught this little joey popping its head out of mum’s pouch for a peek at the world, and we’re completely smitten 😍

All spiders can jump and will attack you!!!... says the people that don't know much about spiders 🕷️

A lot of spiders are ground dwellers, including the infamous funnel web, meaning no they don't jump. Funnel webs can't even climb smooth surfaces! 😆

To spiders, humans are GIANT so trust us, they are a lot more scared of you, then you are of them 👍

Some exciting news for the future of the Australian Reptile Park 🐊

For years, we’ve had ambitions to grow the Park, introduce new attractions, improve the visitor experience and create the space we need for the next generation.

WCTV’s broader vision for the surrounding site presents a real opportunity to help make that possible, while creating a much bigger tourism destination around us here at Somersby.

As Tim puts it: ‘This isn’t just about protecting what we have today. It’s about creating something bigger and better for the Park, our visitors and the Central Coast.’

We’re excited about what lies ahead and support the Planning Proposal progressing to Gateway as the next step in bringing that broader vision forward.
