This week in the studio our Primary students are getting their hands into clay🏺✨

For many, it’s a brand new skill- full of curiosity, creativity, and a little bit of messy fun. We’re exploring new textures, experimenting with techniques, and learning how to shape ideas into something we can see and touch.

Our Story

In 2009 a small group of children met regularly on a Tuesday afternoon in order to learn artists skills that would extend past their expectations. Creating and learning together and sharing their new skills with their friends which enticed their friends to come along also. All in a humble home art studio in Flinders NSW. More children came and it became apparent that there was a need for a creative outlet for the children of the local area. About a year later Little Leonardo’s Art Studio for Kids was born and practicing out of a small commercial space in Shellharbour Village NSW.

Three years of creative fun and fantastic results the art studio migrated to a larger premises in the neighboring suburb of Warilla. Here the studio grew in leaps and bounds and interests among older children developed as did among the adult community. Therefore we altered our name and dropped the “for kids” as we growing interest among the bigger children of the community.

Little Leonardo’s Art Studio thrived in our studio in Warilla, with extraordinary results from our members. Many receiving awards from local and interstate art competitions as well as exemplary results in artistic pursuits with in the education system. Five years later the itch has come back and we are on the move again. 2018 is a bold revamp of a vision to create a creative space that offers not only education but entertainment and the availability of art products for those who are most enthused. Thus becoming the Da Vinci Art Studio, taking on a more grown up approach to our creative future and providing a hub for all creative people of our community. We endeavor to grown and become a permanent fixture of the community.
