Throwback Thursday my installation “Rolling In” 🌊 commissioned for —a one-day celebration of Australian music on the Central Coast— Rolling In stood as a vibrant and sculptural entry statement.

Built from recycled timber, industrial scaffolding, and layered dried palm foliage, the structure brought together rugged materials with coastal warmth and a playful visual energy. The use of bright colour contrasted beautifully with the sun-faded timber and natural textures, creating a striking balance between the raw and the refined.

Rooted in sustainability and surf culture, Rolling In was more than a sign—it was a symbol of gathering, marking the moment where the everyday paused and the festival spirit took over.

Special note: this is also the festival that introduced me to music, so if you haven’t heard them already go give this band some love 🫶🏽

As Bob Ross would say “there’s not such things as f%*k ups, just happy accidents” but I disagree; I was not happy yesterday and there’s a lot of extra work to be done now to hopefully correct this bad decision.
