🦋 Announcing the THEME for the 2023 Street Parade - CELEBRATING HISTORY AND CULTURE 🦋

🎉 The Saturday morning Street Parade is the most colourful and sometimes comical display of local businesses and community groups, reflecting the personality of Agnes Water & 1770. 🎉

🙏 Organisers encourage everyone to put on their thinking caps and get creative to bring alive the HISTORY AND CULTURE that have brought us to where we are today.

🧚‍♀️ Your float and dress can represent an era in history, an historical event, your culture, time periods, historic characters (fictional or non-fictional), historic fashion, anything from our past that we can all share and celebrate in our diverse and multi-cultural community. 🛶

⏰ The Street Parade starts at the 1770 Marina, from 9am on Saturday 20 May, and travels along Captain Cook Drive to the 1770 Festival at the SES Grounds, allowing spectators plenty of space to view the imaginative and creative talent our community has to offer with their floats, costumes and displays.

📢 ❣️🎵 🤩 We’re super excited to announce that our live on-stage and roving entertainment at this year's will be headlined by multi-Award-winning indigenous artist and Australian country music legend Troy Cassar-Daley. A proud Gumbaynggirr/Bundjalung man from a long line of storytellers, Troy shares his musicianship with so many artists across different styles of music and has released 11 studio albums throughout his thirty years of making music - including the most recent, remarkable album to date, “The World Today”. 🤘🎸🎤🤠
