Yatman Carpentry took the Spanmor aluminium system and framed the lot — a standing structure over the deck, the subfloor system beneath it, and the stairs handling the level change. Spanmor aluminium products across all three.

The subfloor is the part nobody sees once the decking goes down, but it’s the part doing all the work.

This system uses our 40 x 50mm engineered aluminium beams paired with Nurajack AUS pedestals for a fully adjustable, corrosion-free frame that won’t rot, warp or attract termites.

Height adjustable pedestals mean the frame sits level regardless of what the slab is doing underneath.

You know the site. Low clearance under the deck, no room to move, and a standard subfloor just won’t sit.

That’s exactly what the Spanmor 40 x 50mm Aluminium Subfloor System was built for. Sitting clean on adjustable pedestals, it keeps your deck structure straight and level without eating into the height you don’t have.

Max joist span: 1200mm. Corrosion resistant. Lightweight enough to handle on your own, straight enough that you’re not fighting it on install day.

Under the deck and over your head, both Spanmor aluminium.

Two structural jobs on one project, both engineered in aluminium.

The subfloor uses our 105 x 50mm running as joists, spanning up to 2.4m. A close to the ground application, exactly where timber gives up first, so it’s built in aluminium instead. No rot. No rust. No corrosion.

The pergola frame uses our 235 x 50mm beam carried on 150 x 150 aluminium posts, finished in Satin Black. Flat insulated roof, recessed downlights set flush, clean square lines throughout.

The part you walk on and the part you stand under, same engineered aluminium, built to outlast the build.
