What are you asking the universe for?
Have you ever found yourself asking the universe for the things you don’t actually want. We don’t usually do this directly but often it happens when we voice aloud the things we don’t want to happen.
Last winter a friend and I drove to a forrest campsite for the day so we could enjoy a camp fire among the trees and beautiful nature. It’s winter here in Adelaide so everything was lush and green with a few puddles around the place and a small creek near by full of water. It was beautiful.
Not long after arriving I was walking along and I said jokingly to my friend that I need to make sure I don’t slip in a puddle as I didn’t bring a change of clothes. Seconds latter I stepped over a puddle and where my foot landed was still muddy and slippery and I slipped on my but. I was embarrassed but not hurt. We laughed it off and I used some tissue to wipe as much mud off as possible.
We had brought most of the wood with us and so started the fire but realised it might need a few more medium size sticks. My friend and I were walking around trying to find a few more sticks to use and we walked up to the creek. I again jokingly said to my friend that I better not fall in now because remember I didn’t bring a change of clothes. No sooner had I said it and I slipped on the edge of the creek and went in!
The water was shallow and only went to about my knees but my shoes, socks and pants were soaking wet! Again I wasn’t hurt and lucky we had the fire and so I spent the whole day sitting next to it trying to stay warm and dry off.
It was a great day and we shared many things as we sat around the fire. Being wet didn’t ruin it but it did really make me think about the things we put out into the universe and how often they are the last things we actually want.
So what do you need to stop asking the universe for?
