Amy's School of Dance SCONE I run Ballet/Jazz classes for Children aged 2 years to high school in Scone NSW. I am a qualified Primary School Teacher with 12 years teaching experience.

I aim to develop your child's social confidence, improve their co-ordination and instill a life-long love for dance. I have 10 years dance experience in ballet, jazz and tap. I also spent 2 years running a Dance Society in Canberra organising events, choreographing routines and teaching classes. I also have a current NSW Working With Children Check. All of the classes I offer are a combination of

Jazz and Ballet. Classes start off with Ballet which is great for strength, balance and flexibility. We then move it to Jazz which improves co-ordination and fitness whilst having a whole lot of fun! And we finish each class my practicing the Jazz routine we have been learning each week. The duration of classes for children aged 2-5 years is 30 minutes, and 5-12 years is 45 minutes. Parents are invited to watch 2-5 years classes if they wish to do so. Please ensure that those watching keep noise and movement to a minimum as to not distract the little ballerinas. Parents of children in the 5-12 years classes are invited to wait in the foyer area or library during class. Alternatively, you may choose to pick up your child at the end of class. There will be an open day in both term 2 and term 3 where parents of children aged 5-12 years will be invited to watch class. Please note: This is a non-competitive dance school. I believe all children should be free to express their love for dance without the pressure of competition. We do not participate in exams or eisteddfods. Instead we enjoy the benefits of performances at concerts and events around our town.

A huge THANK YOU to all of our dancers and families who got involved, wore their craziest socks, and helped support such a wonderful cause.
Together, we raised an amazing $260 for Ronald McDonald House Northern NSW! 🎉
Every dollar helps provide comfort, support, and accommodation for families with seriously ill or injured children while they receive treatment away from home.
We are so proud of our dance family for making a difference in our community and beyond. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and crazy sock spirit! 🩷💙💚💛

We’ll also have a donation box, plus Miss Amy will be selling MadMia socks and will be donating a portion of those sales too!

Tonight we celebrated our 5th annual 10-Years-of-Dance Club Dinner, and dare I say it felt like the best one yet! 💖
Our evening was filled with fun, laughter, lollies, games, awards & of course… DANCING! ✨🪩
Watching these beautiful friendships grow year after year is so incredibly special. Building strong, supportive relationships with our dancers is truly my favourite part of being a dance teacher, and it’s what I believe makes Amy's School of Dance so unique.
This year’s 16 club members each bring so much joy, energy and kindness to our dance family and I feel very lucky to be a part of it 💕

A very special surprise visit at dance this afternoon 💖

Our dear Miss Hallie, popped in to visit while home on holidays from university. The lucky year 4 class (and especially Miss Amy) were very excited to see her again! 🩰✨

She even jumped in to help with their routine — just like old times.

All dancers are invited to perform with us at the closing ceremony of the Horse Festival at beautiful Glenbawn Dam on Sunday 17th May!
Our dancers will be performing fun routines we’ve been practising in class, and we would LOVE to see every ballerina and dancer join us for this exciting community event 💖
✨ Performance Times
🩰 2–5 years: 3:30pm
🩰 School Age: 4:30pm
📍 Grassed area in front of the barbeques
🌈 Look for Miss Amy’s giant inflatable rainbow to collect your hair ribbon!
What to wear:
🎀 Ribbon in hair (provided)
👟 Enclosed shoes
❌ No dance uniforms needed
Pack your picnic blanket and make a whole afternoon of it! There’ll be rides, family fun, fireworks, glow-in-the-dark fairy floss and delicious popcorn from Miss Amy’s stall 🍿✨
Please allow plenty of travel time from Scone and time to find parking. We can’t wait to dance with you all at this wonderful community celebration 💕
