What a year we’ve had!

If you told me 3 years ago when I opened Studio Vortex that I would have had such an amazing community of dancers who are like sisters and parents who support each and every one of the girls, I would’ve been star struck by the family we’ve built.

I’m so proud of each and everyone of the girls and the work they’ve put in! Here’s some of the highlights from 2025:

- 🏆We only went to 1 Eisteddfod this year but, walked away with 17 awards!🏆
- 🏅All our Eisteddfod score were between 82 and 93 this year! 🏅
- 🎉 Our highest exam score went to Aaleisiya Clark with 93% on her ballet exam, a new record for us! 🎉
- 🩰 Aaleisiya also qualified to perform at Tamworth Eisteddfod’s jazz championship and though she didn’t place she got an awesome score! 🩰
- 🪩 And of course our end of year showcase wasn’t one to miss! 🪩

I’m looking forward to what 2026 brings for us!!

Meet our 2025 staff!
Miss Isobel - Principal & Head Teacher 🤍

Miss Isobel has been dancing for 20 years and teaching for 8! She is a member of ATOD (Australian Teachers Of Dance) and is part of the Acrobatic Arts staff program.

Miss Isobel grew up in the Upper Hunter's dance scene, participating in events like CAPERS Tamworth, Star Struck, School Spectacular and Kia Ora Music Camp. Miss Isobel attended a combination of classes from local dance companies, and online classes from professional companies including; Brent Street, Sydney Youth Musical Theatre Company and NSW youth ballet company.

Previous to opening her own studio in 2023 Miss Isobel has instructed at 2 previous studio and ran the Scone High School dance program from 2018-2021 taking them to competitions and school dance events such as CAPERS Tamworth.
Miss Isobel holds a Diploma of Dance Teaching and Management (CUA50320) and is qualified to teach acro dance through the Acrobatic Arts program. During her studies Miss Isobel spent her elective subjects focusing on pointe work, ballet and tap.

Meet our 2025 staff!

Miss Leecy - Trainee Junior Teacher🤍

Aaleisiya or Miss Leecy has been dancing with Studio Vortex Dance Centre for 3 years now, and in 2025 she will begin her official junior teaching program.
She will be helping out in a few classes and studying up this year so keep an eye out for her, and make sure to say hi!
Miss Leecy has a passion for ballet and is currently studying at a gold level, she also takes classes in modern, musical theatre and jazz.

Hi there Studio Vortex Students!

Thank you for an incredible first term!! As we always run on 10 week terms, we are now unfortunately done for this first term.
We look forward to seeing everyone back for term 2 which commences on the 29th of April.
Invoices for term 2 will be sent out on Monday and will be due by the end of our holiday period.
We are wishing everyone an awesome, fun and safe holidays!
