Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, get ready to dive into the deep blue sea and meet the unforgettable character whose spirit is as bright as her blue-and-yellow scales - DORY!
In ROAR Academy's production of FINDING NEMO JR, we are thrilled to introduce - RORY ARGLES - an incredibly talented young performer who will be taking on the shared role of the lovable and unforgettable Dory.
Rory is 16 years old and is currently in Year 11 and trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, and commercial dance as well as private vocal and acting training. Rory has been learning with Roar Academy since 2019 and has performed in many ROAR and RMT productions. Some of her favourite roles have been Anna (Frozen JR), Louisa (Sound of Music), and Donkey (Shrek JR). Rory hopes to one day travel around the world touring as a dancer.
Rory's favourite song in Finding Nemo is "Just Keep Swimming" and she is so excited to play the fun role of Dory.
Rory was incredibly honoured to play the role of NEMO in one of the early on-line PILOT programmes held during JTF 2020 and so this show holds a very special place in her heart. Rory thinks audiences will love FINDING NEMO JR because it is such a heart-warming story.
So make sure to catch RORY on-stage as DORY - with her boundless energy, infectious enthusiasm, and natural charm, she's ready to bring Dory's unforgettable antics and heartwarming journey to life in a way that will capture the hearts of audiences of all ages.
FINDING NEMO is playing at THEATRE 102 May 18-19 - Rory will play Dory for both shows on Sun 19 May. 🌊🐠🎶

I face painted this young lady (Rory)as her dream princesses Anna and Elsa when she was only 6yrs old. Now she is playing the role of Anna in the Jnr Musical Production of Frozen. One show only on the 8th December 2023 (11am). Venue: Twelve Night Theatre in Brisbane City. If you have little ones or just looking to see a great show this is it.
