Friday 9th of October opening night entertainment 🎶🎺

The Sophia Rose Quartet is a Sydney-based group delivering a refreshing blend of cool melodies and improvisations.

The quartet features Sydney Conservatorium of Music Jazz musicians and graduates. Run by Sophia on trumpet, the quartet features Harrison Whalan on bass, Michael Van Lieshout on guitar and Nate Griffin on drums, each bringing their unique influences and backgrounds to the group. Presenting modern grooves that blend classic jazz and funk, Sophia’s group creates a captivating listening experience.

Sophia Hunt is a proud Wiradjuri and Barkindji woman raised on Dharawal country, where her love of music was fostered at the Wollongong High School of Performing Arts and Wollongong Conservatorium."

The Scarborough Art Show is less than a couple of months away, and we need your help! This show only happens because of volunteers - from building the gallery in the school holidays to wrapping sold artwork on Sunday afternoon.

This survey asks when you're free, and what you'd like to do. It takes about 7 minutes to complete.

Telling us you're available doesn't commit you to a shift. We'll build the roster from your responses and email your shift details as soon as we can. If something comes up and you need to swap or drop a shift, just let us know - it happens. We will need about 50 volunteers all up, so please offer whatever support you have capacity for. Every volunteer gets free BBQ food and a coffee, tea or soft drink on the day.

SCARBOROUGH ARTSHOW 2026 — HERE WE GO! 🎨

We’re excited to officially kick off the countdown to our annual Scarborough ArtShow, proudly brought to life by our incredibly dedicated P&C and wider community. ❤️

And this year’s poster is particularly special! It celebrates our beautiful new school artwork by the incredible Holly Sanders — artwork that is becoming part of the visual identity of Scarborough Public School, including our new school branding and 2027 school shirt. We absolutely love seeing our place, environment and story captured so vibrantly.

Of course, an ArtShow means ArtSpark is back! ✨

Our 2026 theme is PERSPECTIVE — inviting young artists to explore the way they see, understand and experience the world around them. After exploring Perspective across our learning this term, we cannot wait to see the completely different interpretations our young artists create.

And for the first time, we are thrilled to welcome our youngest local artists, with a dedicated KU Wombarra category joining our K–2, 3–4 and 5–6 categories. 🌟

28 years of connecting our community through art, music, food and creativity — what a showcase this is going to be!

Time to get creating! 🎨✨

We’re excited to officially kick off the countdown to our annual Scarborough ArtShow, proudly brought to life by our incredibly dedicated P&C and wider community. ❤️

Craftspeople, we want to hear from you! Join us. Expressions of Interest are due in next Fri 21st August. Our craft room at the Scarborough Art Show is known as a place for unique local craft wares. Jewellery, textiles and handmade greeting cards are just some of the craft items that sell well at the show.

Calling all artists and craftspeople! We are getting excited behind the scenes of the Scarborough Art Show and are inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) for this year. Whether you are a new or previous exhibitor, we look forward to receiving your EOI by Friday 21st August. While the closing date is on the 21st, we suggest you submit your EOI early. The show is on October 9th, 10th and 11th - save the dates, and we'll see you there! All the details you need to submit your EOI are on the website at this link https://www.scarboroughartshow.com/art-craft/how-to-exhibit (link in bio for IG).
