6MP President Afra has been a drama queen for as long as she can remember.

“I was a little lost when I moved to Bribie over a decade ago and there was only one theatre option at the time,” she says.

“It took me a while to work up the courage to seek out other interested people and kick-start a community theatre group, but I'm so glad I did.

“It's never straightforward (the challenges are half the fun) but I've been fortunate to find others who enjoy theatre production and those interested in the practical yet necessary aspects of putting on a show, such as front of house and marketing,” Afra said.

“I've met many great people, made good friends and I know lots of other new friendships have been made through the group.

“If you are interested in theatre, come to our audition this Saturday and put your name down for on stage, back stage or front of house. At the very least, you'll meet other like-minded folks and have a laugh.”
