What happens when the words in your head are finally spoken aloud?

Sometimes they work. Sometimes they surprise you.
That was one of the revealing moments at our sold-out Inside the Script workshop.

Guided by professional playwright David Searston, participants developed characters, built plots and began turning their ideas into one-act plays.

Then came the real test, reading their developing scripts aloud.
Dialogue sounded different once it left the page. Characters began to find their voices, ideas became clearer and feedback helped writers see where their stories might go next.

Thank you to David and everyone who brought their ideas, imagination and willingness to give it a go.

Welcome to The Cemetery Club Chop Shop!

This was just one part of the small army working behind the scenes to bring 6MP’s sold-out theatre production to life.

Five years of stories in one gallery.

From first rehearsals to final bows, every 6MP community production has brought together actors, directors, crew, volunteers and audiences from across Bribie Island and beyond.

We’ve been bringing some of those memories together in the 6 Mangrove Productions Gallery. It’s a growing collection of the shows, people and moments that have been part of 6MP since 2021.

You might recognise a familiar face.
You might remember a favourite show.
Or you might discover something you missed.

Take a wander through the Gallery and explore five years of community theatre on Bribie Island.

LOOK WHO’S ON THE COVER!

We were thrilled to see 6 Mangrove Productions on the cover of this week’s Bribie’s Weekly Guide to What’s On.

And even better, the story on page 7 gives us the chance to say something we’ve been wanting to say since The Cemetery Club. Thank you, Bribie Island.

Three sell-out performances don’t happen without an audience getting behind you. Nor does community theatre happen without the volunteers, members and local businesses who give their time, energy and support to make it possible.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who played a part.
Thanks also to ’s Weekly Guide to What’s On and Lulu for helping us share the story.

Pick up this week’s edition and have a read on page 7.
Thank you, Bribie Island. We couldn’t do it without you. ❤️
