Many actors and crew are quite deeply affected by plays they're involved with, and often reminisce about significant aspects.
Recently some of those involved with "Blank Cheque" got to experience tank transport, courtesy of the playwright Brett Lane and his tank-owning colleague.
The experience highlighted the intense battle-scene passages of the play and the claustrophobic conditions on the inside...
And they all enjoyed a beer and barbie afterwards of course

A really enjoyable meet-up this morning at the Samford Markets: some of our actors from the last pantomime "Nothing To See Here" met with the couple who founded the charity we're donating the show's profits to.
Alison and Aidan (left and right) are the founders of Stationery Aid - an amazing local charity that supports needy kids with all their school supplies. Chase up their link to find out more - they're such a great hands-on local bunch.
Also pictured - looking slightly less like trolls, washer women, Santas and bunyips than they did last month - are from left Tim Beiers Bruce Colledge, Robert Paget, Wayne Hinton, David Roberts.
And HUGE thank yous to our ticket-buying audiences, our actors and crew, our FOH maestros, and the people of St Paul's parish for all your wonderful support.

Another pantomime done and dusted! Thank you to everyone who attended, acted, crewed, bought raffle tickets etc.
We'll be processing our donation to Stationery Aid at the Samford Valley Markets on Aug 8th.
Winding up the panto and its forceful "BE KIND AND CIVIL" message we're left with two absolutely wonderful newly coined sayings:
1. "Auto-corrupt"
- when you're trying to send a text message - thank you Ma Twanky aka Bruce Colledge
2. "Anger-tainment"
- outrage used as an addictive bait - thank you Bunyip aka Roberts

Luigi the singing Barista with the Lord Mayor of Sameford and Ma Twanky - exercising their melodious tonsils in "Nothing To See Here" (our take on the Emperor's New Clothes).
And look who's arrived for a mid-year break! Nothing like a bit of Christmas-in-July to drive away the chills!

Our brilliant tech team - Sam, Coen and Caellum Richards.
We're so grateful to people like these who give their skills (lots of) and time (also lots of) to making our productions such fun for audiences and cast alike.
Caellum's project was to develop an amazing, expressive and rather adorable gizmo just for this play! Talent plus a free hand have delivered a great result; audiences will be swept away by the transformation of the Samford Farmers Hall stage!

Drumroll....lights up....action... and behold - Sameford on a typical morning:
- Luigi and the Mayor are singing opera while coffee brews
- Ma Twanky's looking for things (her glasses, her son Andy etc)
- The Bunyip's basking in the billabong
But that's not how it stays: an existential crisis is about to challenge Sameford's very soul....
"Nothing To See Here" may perhaps join other great works of literature - Hamlet, War and Peace . Or it may not.
But it's fun, funny, topical and relevant, working on several levels - an entertainment for all ages.
Use our flexible group-building option when you book: choose a table name and get everyone to use that when they book. You'll all be seated together.
Profits will go to Stationery Aid, a local charity which supports kids and schools with needed stationery supplies.
