Arts and culture has always been one of the first things to help individuals and communities to recover from disasters and trauma. It unites us through our shared experiences. Art and culture are essential. Our country has no roadmap for art and culture, and we need all major parties to commit to a National Cultural Plan that delivers for the arts. When you vote in this upcoming Federal election, think about which party and/or candidate supports art and culture best.

What drew you to Fast Food? And how did you get involved?

"I love Morgan’s writing, I think she has an incredible ear for dialogue and she loves making work about things we don’t normally talk about; private thoughts, failures, secret wants. So Morgan and I knew we wanted to work together again and I’ve been attached from the very beginning of the play’s development. This is our second time working together at Red Stitch, we first met making Desert 6.29pm in 2017.".

Heroes of the Fourth Turning: how theatre can serve as a mode of inquiry into right wing ideas

“Drama is an engine of discovery as powerful as Q&A or media reportage, but different from them. It has this remarkable advantage: it puts humans beings under the microscope along with what they say, linking opinions to emotions, actions to experience, so we gain understanding not only about what people think, but why they think it, and the values that make them to cleave to their views”.

Julian Meyrick explores how theatre can be used as a medium for education on political beliefs by taking us in an in-depth analysis of ‘Heroes of the Fourth Turning’ and how it is considered a unique opportunity to dig into conservative ideas in its most pure form.

Tonight! A play with music, a heartwarming story, and a chance to meet and interact with the cast and director LIVE online. Presented by Riverside Theatres Digital, Jane Bodie's LAMB is the story of two generations of a farming family, brought to life with original songs by Mark Seymour (Mark Seymour and the Undertow, Hunters and Collectors).
