Twin Town Players

Twin Town Players is a Community Theatre group that was established in the Rylstone & Kandos region in 1992. We look forward to seeing you there!

Our members come from a wide diversity of age, culture, and life experiences. Together, we hold a strong appreciation of the importance of performing arts in small, rural communities. We proudly provide our members with the opportunity to direct, perform, upskill, and find belonging while building camaraderie with like-minded people. Twin Town Players holds monthly meetings every second Tuesday of

the month and encourage anyone interested in joining our group to attend our meetings. Regular Facebook posts will advertise times, dates and locations of our meetings.

Hi everyone! 🎭

This week was originally scheduled as a break week, but after all the illness and cancelled rehearsals we’ve had recently, I’ve decided we’ll go ahead with a rehearsal tomorrow afternoon.

Any Junior TTP members who are available and keen to come along are very welcome! There’s absolutely no pressure if you’ve already made plans for our week off, but if you’re free, we’d love to see you and make up for some lost rehearsal time.

Hopefully the germs have finally taken the hint and left the cast! 😂🤞

Hi everyone,

Unfortunately, we need to cancel Junior Twin Town Players rehearsals again today. 😔

This time, gastro has hit my family and me, and the last thing I want to do is risk passing yet another illness around to our Junior TTP families! I think we've all had quite enough sickness for one month. 🤢😂

I'm so sorry we've had such a disrupted couple of weeks. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding.

Please look after yourselves, stay well, and hopefully we can finally get everyone back together next week, healthy and ready to rehearse! 💙🎭

Hi everyone 💙

Unfortunately, we have a few more of our Junior TTP crew unwell today, so we’ll give rehearsals a miss again this afternoon and let everyone have a chance to rest and recover. 🤒

I hope all of our sick little actors are feeling much better very soon! Please look after yourselves, stay warm and get plenty of rest.

We’ll regroup next week and hopefully have our whole crazy cast back together again, ready to get stuck into rehearsals! 🎭✨

🎭 Junior Twin Town Players – Rehearsal Cancelled

Unfortunately, due to illness, I’ll be cancelling today’s rehearsal. 🤒

There seems to be a fair bit going around at the moment, so I hope everyone who is unwell is feeling much better very soon. 💙

Please look after yourselves, rest up and we’ll hopefully have everyone back together, healthy and ready for some theatre chaos on Thursday! 🎭😂

🎭 REMINDER | TWIN TOWN PLAYERS AGM THIS TUESDAY! 🎭

Just a friendly reminder that the Twin Town Players Annual General Meeting (AGM) is happening this Tuesday, 11 August at 6:00 pm at the Rylstone Club.

This is an important night for our little theatre company as all committee positions will be declared vacant and a new committee elected for the year ahead.

If you love local theatre, have some great ideas, enjoy getting involved behind the scenes, or simply want to help keep Twin Town Players thriving, we'd love to have you join us. You don't need to be an actor — goodness knows a theatre production needs plenty of people who don't want to stand under a spotlight! 😂🎬

💙 Membership is also now due — $10 per person.
Please remember you must be a current financial member to vote at the AGM or nominate for a committee position.

If you'd like to nominate yourself or someone else for a position, please email us prior to the AGM.

Twin Town Players exists because of the wonderful volunteers who give their time, ideas, skills and enthusiasm to keep community theatre alive in our towns.

😒 Our faces when someone misses rehearsal… and forgets to tell the director! 😒

(Don’t worry… we’re not really that scary… 😏)

Rehearsals are where the magic happens. Every week we’re building scenes, learning cues, developing characters and making sure everyone knows where they’re meant to be (and who they’re accidentally bumping into!).

When someone can’t make it, that’s absolutely okay, we know life happens! ❤️ But please let us know as soon as you can. It helps us adjust our rehearsal plans and make the best use of everyone’s time.

🎭 Every rehearsal is important because we:
✨ Learn and practise our lines
🎬 Block scenes and movement
🤝 Build confidence and teamwork
😂 Discover all the funny moments that make the show special
🎤 Develop our characters and stage presence
⭐ Make sure everyone feels prepared for opening night

Thank you to our amazing cast for all the enthusiasm you’ve shown so far. We can’t wait to see this production come to life… preferably with everyone there! 😉

🎭 What a Fantastic Start to Our 2026 Production! 🎭

Tonight our Junior Twin Town Players officially received their scripts, and for the first time, the cast brought our story to life with a fun and laughter-filled read-through.

The excitement in the room was infectious! From enthusiastic questions and plenty of laughs to students already throwing themselves into their characters, it was wonderful to see everyone's energy and commitment.

Even better... we had 100% attendance for our very first rehearsal! 🎉 What an incredible way to kick off the production. Thank you to every student and family for making tonight such a success.

We're so proud of the enthusiasm, creativity and effort shown already. This production is going to be something very special, and we can't wait to watch these talented young performers grow over the coming months.

Bring on rehearsal number two! 🎭✨

🎭✨ The Curtain Is About to Rise... ✨🎭

The wait is finally over!

After a term filled with laughter, improvisation, storytelling, games and a whole lot of imagination, Junior Twin Town Players is officially moving into production mode!

Over the school holidays, I've had the absolute joy of bringing our 2026 production to life, writing a brand-new original production inspired by the characters, stories and wonderfully chaotic imaginations we created during our workshops. Every role has been carefully written with each child in mind, giving every cast member a chance to shine.

This week, our young performers will receive their scripts and rehearsal schedules, and we'll begin the exciting journey of transforming words on a page into a live theatrical production.

There is something truly magical about watching a group of children grow from nervous first-time performers into confident actors who step onto the stage believing in themselves. That's what Junior Twin Town Players is all about.

💙 Friendships will be made.
🎭 Confidence will grow.
😂 There will be plenty of laughs.
✨ And together, we'll create something our whole community can be proud of.

So mark your calendars!

Without giving too much away... expect laughter, adventure, unforgettable characters and a story that's unlike anything we've done before.

📢 Twin Town Players Update

Please note that tomorrow night's committee meeting has been cancelled.

Our next gathering will be our Annual General Meeting (AGM), held at the Rylstone Club, Tuesday, 11 August at 6:00 pm.

At the AGM, all committee positions will be declared vacant, and a new committee will be elected. If you'd like to nominate yourself or someone else for a committee position, please email us before the AGM.

💙 Membership is also now due.
Membership is $10 per person, and you must be a current financial member to vote at the AGM or nominate for a committee position.

Twin Town Players is only possible thanks to the volunteers who give their time and ideas. If you've ever thought about getting involved, we'd love to hear from you!

🎭 Help Support Junior Twin Town Players! 🎭

As we prepare for our upcoming performance, we're on the lookout for a few donations to help bring our production to life.

We are seeking in ANY CONDITION:
✨ Snow White costume – Size 10-14
✨ Princess Jasmine costume – Size 8-10
✨ Toy Soldier costume – Size 12-14
🎨 Acrylic paints and house paints in various colours

If you have any of these items tucked away and would be willing to donate them, we would be incredibly grateful. Every contribution helps our young performers create something truly special on stage.
