What an unforgettable evening at the South Australian Parliament House!

After receiving the Morialta Community Award last month—just before Diwali, making it even more special—I was honoured to be invited to a dinner at Parliament House with all the 2025 award recipients, hosted by Hon. John Gardner MP.

Sharing this evening with fellow community champions, including a wonderful senior citizen who has spent decades serving our community, made the experience truly inspiring. Listening to everyone’s stories and seeing the dedication behind their contributions reminded me how strong and vibrant our local community truly is.

Standing together in that historic space, I was reminded once again that community service is never a solo journey—it is built on collective passion, cultural pride, and the support we give one another.

A heartfelt thank you to John Gardner MP and his team for organising such a warm, respectful, and memorable evening.

What a lovely surprise and an incredible honour! I am so grateful to receive the Morialta Community Award at home. I am still buzzing from this wonderful surprise!

Thank you to my MP, John Gardner MP, and Scott Kennedy for this recognition of my work with Indian classical dance in our community.

This award isn't just for me—it's for our entire community and every student who has embraced this journey of dance and culture. Thank you to my family, friends, and all the wonderful students who make this possible! 🙏

🌟 A Truly Honoured Moment for Kalanandhnam Dance School 🌟

Yesterday was a day of immense pride and joy for us, with two incredible events on the same day!

We are deeply humbled and immensely grateful to be invited to perform at the Diwali and Annakut Celebrations at the Parliament of South Australia, in conjunction with BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir, Adelaide. It was a privilege to showcase our art in the presence of esteemed dignitaries and celebrate the spirit of Diwali through dance and devotion.

Following this, we were honoured to attend the Reception to celebrate Diwali/Deepavali, hosted by The Honourable Peter Malinauskas MP, Premier of South Australia. A heartfelt thank you for the gracious invitation extended to Mrs Deepa Ranjith . Your recognition of cultural diversity and support for the arts is truly inspiring.

🙏 Thank you to everyone who made these moments possible. We are proud to share our passion and culture with the wider community and look forward to many more opportunities to celebrate unity through art.
