I’m sure a china dish shaped like a piece of bread adorned with a black china bow made sense to someone somewhere but it still has me scratching my head!! It is however an awesome addition to my art room as a watercolour palette!!

I’ve been redoing the Andrea Nelson 30 day sketchbook challenge and I am enjoying it so much more the second time around!
This one is Day 9 collaging with painted papers, lots of fun and very beginner friendly.
For the record the pink background in both is the same colour paint, same brand - the huge difference is the paper!

You need to take a drive out to the Mitchell on Maranoa Gallery and spend some time with the fabulous art work of Anita McCudden. Her “Focus on the Natural Frame” exhibition is amazing!!

I could spin a tale about road testing products so you don’t have to, but in this case I bought this purely because $8 is a great price for a metal palette. I had every intention of discarding the paint thinking it would be the usual Anko nonsense, but I am glad I didn’t. This paint is really lovely, and while it says it’s pastel, the colours are very vibrant. It also comes with a small water brush.
As Molly Meldrum would say “Do yourself a favour”.
I will scuff it tomorrow with toothpaste to see if it will help the paint to puddle - I’ll let you know how that goes.
