🖤✨ CSOD Alumni Spotlight | Welcome Home, Imogen Chen! ✨🖤

From CSOD student to international performer, we're so excited to welcome Imogen Chen back to the studio this week!

After growing up dancing right here at CSOD, Imogen continued her training at the prestigious Tanya Pearson Academy before being selected for the renowned Sydney Dance Company Pre-Professional Year.

Since then, she has built an incredible career performing throughout Asia and Europe as a commercial and heels dancer, working across a wide range of professional productions and performance opportunities. 🌏✨

Now home for a short visit, Imogen is returning to her dance home to share her knowledge, experience, and passion with the next generation of CSOD dancers. 💫

With a wealth of expertise across contemporary, cabaret, and commercial styles, Imogen will be inspiring and challenging our Senior students this Monday and Tuesday.

There is something truly special about seeing former students return to the studio that helped shape their journey. We can't wait for our dancers to learn from someone who once stood exactly where they are today. 🖤

Originally from Queensland, Alfie’s journey has taken him to the world stage — training at the prestigious Royal Ballet School in London, performing with Birmingham Royal Ballet’s junior company (BRB2), and now dancing with Queensland Ballet.

Designed for dancers ready to level up, this workshop will focus on refining technique, strengthening classical foundations, and perfecting artistry and musicality. Our Grade 1 Dance Program is expertly designed for students aged 6-7yrs and is the perfect next step for young dancers.

Students can choose from a wide variety of styles across the week including:

🪜 Stretch & Technique

🎤 Musical Theatre
🌟 Performance Groups

With classes running on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, families can select options that suit their schedule, with opportunities to participate in both recreational classes, extension classes and performance groups.

Grade 1 focuses on:
• Building strong dance technique
• Developing musicality and artistry
• Growing confidence and performance skills
• Learning teamwork and stage etiquette
