✨We're excited to introduce some more members of our creative and production team, along with the dedicated members of the RMUYC Committee who will be working behind the scenes to help bring this magical journey to life:

Creative Team Assistant – Savannah Emery
Producer – Riley Acutt

Savannah joins us as Creative Team Assistant, assisting our creative team to bring this show to life. As Producer, Riley will oversee the many moving parts of the production, working behind the scenes to ensure this beloved classic comes together seamlessly.

We're also thrilled to welcome the members of the RMUYC Committee, whose hard work and support behind the scenes play a vital role in making productions like The Wizard of Oz possible.

We're excited to officially open auditions for RMUYC's upcoming production of The Wizard of Oz! ✨

If you've ever dreamed of following the Yellow Brick Road and being part of a magical theatrical experience, now is your chance to audition for this beloved classic.

✨ The team behind The Wizard of Oz continues to grow! ✨

We’re excited to introduce three more members of our creative and production team who will help bring this magical journey to life:

Musical Director – Darby Cringle
Stage Manager – Kerrod Wells
Head of Costumes – Colleen O'Donnell

Darby joins us as Musical Director, bringing his passion for music and performance to help create the unforgettable sounds of Oz. Behind the scenes, Kerrod will take on the role of Stage Manager, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Colleen is our wonderful Head of Costumes, leading the creation of the wonderful costumes that will transform our cast into the beloved characters of this timeless classic.

We’re incredibly excited to have Darby, Kerrod and Colleen as part of the team!

✨ We’re excited to officially announce the start of our creative team for the The Wizard of Oz – the team that will be leading us down the Yellow Brick Road ✨

Choreographer - Ellie Belonogoff

Joy and Kate are both very familiar faces within RMUYC and we are thrilled to be working with them again as they bring their experience, passion and creativity to this magical production.

We’re also excited to welcome Ellie to the RMUYC team for the first time! We can’t wait to see the energy and fabulous routines she brings to our show.

Our team is currently hard at work finalising audition dates and preparing more information for prospective cast members, so keep an eye on our socials - there’s plenty more to come very soon!

This National Volunteers Week, we celebrate the incredible people behind the scenes who make the Rockhampton Musical Union Youth Choir possible.

From rehearsals and performances to costumes, administration, fundraising and cheering from the sidelines — our organisation runs entirely on the dedication, generosity and passion of volunteers 💙

Thank you to every committee member, conductor, accompanist, creative team member, costume creative, musician, parent, helper, supporter and friend who gives their time to help our young people shine. Your contribution creates opportunities, builds confidence and brings music to our community.
