Hi all,

This artwork is a living map of connection.
Two boomerangs represent mainland Aboriginal peoples and the journey of knowledge that always returns home. A turtle shell and surrounding islands honour Torres Strait Islander sea Country and community. Songlines weave through the canvas, linking past, present, and future, while handprints mark the guidance of elders and knowledge holders.

Together, land and sea, story and people are bound — reminding us of who we are, where we belong, and the responsibility we carry forward.

Uluyan, the wedgetail eagle soars — wings stretched wide, gliding effortlessly on the currents of the wind. From this height, he sees everything below.
Country, songlines and stories of the old and new dreaming.

He reminds me that vision is not just what we see, but what we feel and understand beneath the surface.

My art carries forward that same vision — layers upon layers, each revealing something deeper. Like the eagle, I never truly know how many more layers there are to uncover, how many more stories still rest beneath the red earth, waiting to be seen.

Saying goodbye to this piece of art - it‘s off to new walls….

„The Range of Lights”

I painted this piece a while ago, though its story has never left me.
It was sparked by a story an uncle once told me— about a range out on Kalkadoon Country, where the min min lights dance across the horizon like spirits at night.

He said that on some nights, when the air is still and the country breathes softly, you can see dozens of them — drifting, glowing, weaving through the dark hills. No one chases them; you just stand quiet and watch, because they’re not meant to be caught.

When I painted, I tried to capture the mystery of the min min lights. Knowing that the land is alive and watching back.

They are Country speaking in its own light- reminding me that some things are meant only to be witnessed, not explained.
