Paintings of life and landscapes in Rural Australian. My paintings are about what make life on the land special.

I'm inspired to paint subjects that affect me emotionally in some way, whether it’s the beauty of a horse’s action, the light hitting the side of an animal, or the posture of a relaxed stockman. Painting with oils I take great pride in getting the details of my subjects correct and use light to enhance the emotional impact of my paintings. Based near Rockhampton in Central Queensland I am continually pushing my art to new levels. I hope my art connects with you and makes you feel that life in rural Australia is something special

Some have said occasionally that I put a lot of details into my paintings, well this commissioned painting that I recently completed takes that to a whole new level. 192 head, I think. Have a great weekend.

This is the last of the crosscut saw paintings I have to share, this painting aims to show what a day might look like for many, from catching a horse early, to mustering and trucking cattle late in the day. Please note that I don't sell these, they are commissioned work only. Have a great weekend.

Several weeks ago I shared a Cross Cut saw that I had painted. Well it was the first of three and this is the second one, commissioned by some good friends of ours in Tasmania the images on the blade are scenes from around their home. I'll share the third one later this week.

I had a small piece of masonite laying around so I decided to find a photo and just paint it with no drawing or anything. It did take a little longer than 10 seconds though. This is the first painting that I'll put away until Beef27. Have a nice weekend.
