Conversations started November 2023 between Santos GLNG and Gaba Art to create a piece of artwork that can be used across their company to tell the story of connection, Country and shared journey.

After many teams meetings, coffee catch ups, phone calls, emails and I think we got up to 8 concepts we finally got to deliver their artwork this week.

This piece "We are Santos GLNG" is a story of respect and acknowledgement, and recognises the privilege of working on country.

Gaba Art believes artwork is not something that happens overnight, each piece is carefully designed, is unique and sacred to the customer and holds significant story telling. We build such strong connections with our customers, that handing the artwork over is full of many emotions.

We know sharing our art will create a relationship and connection for years to come. A big thank you to & shout out to Carey McIntosh for walking this journey with us. We are so excited to see this piece proudly hanging over on Curtis Island & coming to life theoughout the company.

A beautiful canvas displayed in their meeting corridor to bring life, colour, culture and meaning to this space. A space to sit & reflect. A space which holds respectful conversations.

This artwork "Journey Lines" displays the core values and beliefs of the control centre while acknowledging and respecting the land in which they journey on.

A digital design completed for a lovely little school in Bundaberg.

The artwork has been flowing at GABA Art 🐝

The social media has not. Being more consistent with our socials is definitely on our list for 2026.

The 2nd mural done for the lovely little St Joseph’s Community. It is always a pleasure working at this school. So many friendly little faces. These murals add so much character to this beautiful little school, & I love seeing the familiar faces popping by to check on my progress.

It has been a wonderful journey working beside Shell.
There has been many positive steps throughout this project. ~ Initially we met and discussed what they had in mind
~ I took everything on board and designed a concept
~ Once everyone was happy I moved onto both digital and hand painted canvas
~ Digital artwork was then fit to scale
~ Canvas was delivered over morning tea where I got to share the story behind the artwork.

But, the relationship doesn’t stop there.
Recently I attended the Shell’s Rap launch where I got to share in depth the meaning behind the artwork & the significance of this piece. This ensures everyone within the company understands what the artwork is about.
I then created four different colouring in pieces from the original artwork where employees had the option to ask questions and yarn while colouring in.

This is where you get the chance to meet new people, make connections and build relationships. Thank you for taking this approach. It has been an absolute pleasure working with you through this journey & I am so excited to see the artwork incorporated in other aspects within your company.
