Rydell High is coming alive, rehearsals are racing ahead and our incredible cast is getting ready to deliver one electrifying night at the theatre!

In just eight weeks, Rockdale Town Hall will be transformed into the colourful world of the fabulous 1950s, where the Pink Ladies rule the school, the T-Birds bring the swagger, and Danny and Sandy’s unforgettable summer romance faces its biggest test.

Frenchie and Doody might belong to Rydell High’s coolest cliques, but these two bring something a little sweeter to the Pink Ladies and T-Birds!

Kind-hearted and endlessly optimistic, Frenchy dreams of finding her place beyond the classroom, even if her plans don’t always work out quite as expected. With a little help from her friends, and perhaps some heavenly guidance, she may discover that the right path has been waiting for her all along.

Doody is cheerful, enthusiastic and eager to prove that he’s got what it takes to be a true T-Bird. Armed with a guitar, plenty of confidence and his own unique charm, he’s ready to show Rydell High exactly what he can do!

Leather jackets? Check. Perfect hair? Mostly. Good decisions? Absolutely not.

Doody, Sonny and Roger are three of Rydell High’s loudest, cheekiest and most entertaining troublemakers, and wherever these T-Birds go, laughter and chaos are never far behind!

Doody is enthusiastic, eager to impress and certain he’s destined to become Rydell’s next great heartthrob. Sonny has enough swagger and fast talk to get himself into and occasionally out of, almost any situation. Roger brings his own mischievous sense of humour, an unforgettable reputation and absolutely no shortage of confidence.

We are incredibly humbled and excited to share that Rockdale Musical Society has been named a finalist in the 2026 Local Business Awards for Outstanding Performing Arts in the Bayside area! 🏆🎭

We only received the news today, and what an amazing surprise it was!

To whoever nominated us, and to everyone who took the time to vote for us, thank you. Your support and belief in what we do mean more to us than we can say.

Most importantly, this recognition belongs to our incredible members and volunteers. Every production we bring to life is powered by people who generously give their time, talent, creativity and energy both onstage and behind the scenes. Without them, we simply could not do what we do.

We are enormously proud to create theatre for our local community and deeply grateful to everyone who continues to support Rockdale Musical Society.

🌸 SPRING HAS SPRUNG AND THINGS ARE HEATING UP AT RYDELL HIGH! 🌸

To celebrate the first day of spring, we’re introducing the final two characters in our GREASE couples series: Marty and Sonny!

Stylish, sophisticated and always ready with the latest gossip, Marty is the most glamorous member of the Pink Ladies. With big dreams, plenty of confidence and a collection of admirers, she knows exactly how to make an entrance, and she certainly isn’t afraid to enjoy a little attention!

Then there’s Sonny, the fast-talking, wisecracking T-Bird who thinks he’s irresistible. Full of swagger, mischief and cheeky one-liners, he’s always ready to impress the girls, challenge authority and stir up trouble with the rest of the gang.

Marty and Sonny round out our colourful group of Pink Ladies and T-Birds, and with spring officially here, opening night is getting closer!

Quirky, cheerful and completely comfortable being herself, Jan brings a huge personality, and an even bigger appetite, to the Pink Ladies! She may sometimes find herself caught in the middle of the group’s antics, but her warmth, humour and unmistakable individuality make her impossible not to love.

Then there’s Roger, the fun-loving T-Bird with a mischievous streak and a reputation that follows him wherever he goes. Never short of confidence or a cheeky joke, he’s always ready to entertain his friends, even when his antics land him in trouble!

Together, Jan and Roger form one of Rydell High’s funniest and most endearing pairings. Their playful chemistry, shared sense of humour and delightfully awkward romance bring plenty of laughs and heart to GREASE.

Rydell High simply wouldn’t be the same without the wonderfully warm Frenchy and the endlessly enthusiastic Doody!

Sweet-natured, optimistic and always ready to help a friend, Frenchy is one of the most lovable members of the Pink Ladies. With big dreams beyond the classroom, she soon discovers that finding your path isn’t always as easy as it looks, and sometimes a little guidance can arrive when you least expect it.

Then there’s Doody: the youngest and most cheerful member of the T-Birds. He’s eager to impress, full of confidence and convinced he’s got what it takes to become Rydell High’s next big heartthrob, even if he’s still figuring things out along the way!
