Sonya Else - Textile Artist As an artist I create nature-inspired textile-based work. I aim to let the natural environment unfold in my work.

My work incorporates hand-dyeing, free machine stitching, painting, drawing and fabric manipulation to reflect forms found in nature. Soul Heart Art Designs - artwork and personal accesories inspired by nature for you to enjoy. Sonya Else creates artwork to inspire the soul and gladden the heart. Her inspiration comes from the colours of Australian landscapes, many of her materials being individually hand dyed and stitched.

HERE + THERE: A COLLECTIVE CONVERSATION

This exhibition presents a collaborative project between Campaspe Shire Council, curator and artist E L L E N L E E and Kyabram Town Hall Gallery — offering a fresh perspective on the Campaspe Shire Council Art Collection.

Featuring creative responses to selected works by local artists Anne Churches, Ellen Lee, Geraldine Gallivan, John Stevens, Kevin Williams, Linden Lancaster, Maree Santilla and Sonya Else, the exhibition explores connections between past and contemporary practices in a unique and engaging way.

Our open studio event is on this weekend, 2-3 May from 10am to 4pm, with some studios opening Friday evening from 5pm to 7pm. Entry is free, and we have 27 artists and makers keen to meet you.

Work will be for sale at studio prices, and most of the artists will be offering demonstrations.
