Resin Art Workshop
Saturday, 20th June 2026

We will be having our Resin Art Workshop on Saturday, 20th June 2026!

In this workshop, we will introduce the basic techniques of using resin, including mixing, colouring and various pouring methods. You will get to explore the many ways resin can be used to produce gorgeous, glossy and flowing designs.

Resin can be used to enhance and decorate a wide range of surfaces and items, including art canvases, cheese boards, coasters, trays and furniture. It can also be cast into unique pieces of jewellery. Your artworks can decorate your walls or you can give it as a gift to your family and friends.

It gets a little bit messy, but it’s a brilliant amount of fun!

Where: Richmond Art Supplies, 1/328 Windsor St. Richmond NSW
Workshop date: Saturday, 20th June 2026
Time: 12:30pm – 3:30pm
Cost: $170
Bookings Essential: Book here or call 02 4578 3555 for more information.

Resin artworks need to stay level to set and cure for at least 12 hours, so are best left at the venue and picked up later in the week.

Everyone is welcome, members and non-members. Come and join their meetings to view an inspirational artist at work each month, as well as the opportunity to enjoy networking with like-minded art enthusiasts.

Cost: $5 entry at the door
Supper: provided
Parking: On site parking is available at the Hawkesbury Skills Centre, please drive in to access. Street parking available as well.

About Hiren Patel:

Hiren was born in India and now based in Sydney. He studied and worked as an engineer until he had a chance to visit to the Art Gallery of NSW which sparked a passion for art that led him to study painting.

Hiren captures the emotional weight of urban and rural landscapes through a vivid interplay of light and mood. Influenced by the Australian Impressionists and modern art, his urban vistas offer a deeply personal look into his travels across Australia and India. Using influences of Australian impressionists and modern art, he beautifully translates everyday scenes into visual poetry, utilising field sketches, memory, and photographs to build richly layered colours and textures.

Hiren is an Associate of The Royal Art Society and has won many first prize awards in art shows including the Lloyd Rees Art Prize, Joshua Smith Art Prize and The Hawkesbury Art Prize. He has also been awarded many ‘best in category’ in Sydney art competitions.

Even if it’s for only one hour per week that I can spare, It keeps the artist in me alive.”
