💜 End of an Era 💜

After a lot of reflection, we’ve made the incredibly difficult decision to bring Groove Tunes to an end.

Groove Tunes was created to prove that live music spaces could be more accessible, inclusive and community-led and because of all of you, we achieved something really special together. From artists, crew, volunteers, audiences, partners and every person who believed in the vision, thank you for helping us build a space where people felt welcome, supported and celebrated.

Like many independent events, ongoing financial pressures and the increasing challenges of delivering truly accessible events have made it difficult for us to continue sustainably. Accessibility should never be an afterthought or a luxury, but right now the reality is that creating these spaces requires more support than is currently available.

We are so proud of what Groove Tunes stands for and the community we formed around it. Thank you for dancing with us, supporting artists with lived experience, and showing what the future of live music can look like.

This isn’t goodbye to the work, just goodbye to this chapter 💜

Groove Tunes 2025 💜
Our team created Groove Tunes as a space for live music to be accessible to everyone — to do this we put in a stage lift, create a sensory space, add signage, communication cards, Auslan, and lyric videos on top of the ‘s existing accessibility offering — all to ensure Naarm/Melbourne has an exceptionally inclusive space to enjoy live music together! All while supporting an all Aus-based lineup 💜
