Come on down to Newhaven Jetty at 10am Friday 7th June to add your voice to the campaign.

Show your support to our land based anglers after Newhaven Jetty was suddenly closed on 1 May - mesh fencing erected & people locked out by the Labor Government after years of little/no maintenance on this beautiful public asset.

Public access to public assets must be maintained.

Add your voice and support the Bass Coast community as they fight to have it restored and reopened.

Progress at Mahers Landing is really stacking up.
Piling is complete and the ramp itself is taking shape, with concrete headstocks placed upon the piles. Concrete ramp panels will be added to the structure over the next fortnight.
When it’s done the whole structure elevated to increase its gradient, providing access to deeper water and enabling its use at a greater range of tides.
Alongside it will be an L-shape jetty to provide a spot for boats to tie up, which will be installed after the ramp panels are on place.
Meantime, the adjoining carpark is tracking well with earthworks well and truly underway.

The school holidays are fast approaching and so is completion of the new Rhyll boat ramp!
Asphalting and linemarking of the carpark is all that’s left to be done at the Phillip Island launching spot. The pontoons are in place, the decks have been installed onto the jetties and the new ramp is ready.
The facility will be open in time for school holidays and a community event on Saturday, 17 September.
Rhyll Phillip Island Angling Club is hosting an open day, with our BBV crew, Victorian Fisheries Authority and Safe Transport Victoria - Maritime on deck to help celebrate.
The event will be held from 10am to 3pm next Saturday and feature plenty of family fun with FREE fishing clinics for the kids, a barbecue, flare demonstrations, local musicians and the opportunity to check out the club and their facilities.
You’ll also be able to check out the ramp upgrades and wet a line off one of the new pontoons!
