Lighting pre-vis is one of the most underrated tools in theatre production.

Instead of walking into a venue and starting from scratch, you can design, test, and refine everything beforehand.

Looks, cue timing, positions, colours… all worked out before you even step into the theatre.

That means less time spent programming on site, fewer long tech days, and far less pressure when the clock is ticking.

For schools especially, where venue access is limited and budgets are tight, pre-vis can make a huge difference. You’re not paying for extra hours just to “figure it out” in the room. You’re walking in with a plan that’s already been thought through.

And the best part is, you can do it anywhere - at home, onsite at school, or even in a good ol’ hotel room on tour!

Because good design doesn’t have to wait for the theatre.
