The Dream Lab, a creative warehouse on High Street in Rezza, is on the hunt for a fresh housemate to join our merry band of Labrats!

We are in a tight squeeze at the moment, with our current Labrat having to move out suddenly due to uncontrollable personal circumstances, which means we have only have 2 weeks to find the perfect housemate to fill this room...

The right applicant would be joining 3 of us good folk, residing within this creative warehouse space- consisting of a vibrant open plan setup, adjoining one of Melbourne's best costume shops on a colourful & buzzing section of High Street, Reservoir (bordering Preston), very close to all forms of public transport...

The available room is located in the gallery shopfront, with it's own lit wardrobe booth, loft area and the most daily sunshine out of all the rooms, thanks to our west facing shopfront windows!

Single foam mattress already present in room, or if preferred, can be leased without

The rest of the space is already well established & fully furnished, so would suit a tenant who has minimal furniture to fit out their bedroom 🙂

Quarterly utility bills & monthly internet bills are equally shared between tenants, rent is $690/month with a security deposit of $600

Due to the nature of our location & the property being a commercial space, we are seeking only switched on & reliable applicants who don't mind music, excitement, meeting new people & spontaneity from time to time... Honesty & integrity are vital traits we seek in anyone wishing to join the team here.

⦁ Someone who can understand & handle the responsibilities of living within a commercial property on a main street.

⦁ Capable of cleaning up after themself as well as helping out around the house from time to time

⦁ Willing to contribute to supply of shared, common household items

I should start this post by informing everyone who attended last weekends Dream Lab Decennial party, that I have since tested positive in mood. I hope you all have as well!

It has been a while since I have felt soo happy, and what a fantastically long weekend that was! I've been lost for words until now about just how special this event turned out... Beyond what I could have hoped for, such amazing people & soo many new faces!

I felt so much love and feel truly nourished by the interactions, shenanigans, and laughs had. thankyou so much for coming and being a part of this very special occasion! Unsurprisingly we managed to pull this off at the last minute, thanks to the hard work, generosity and efforts of our friends and community ;-)

The party was a wild success, and mostly incident free- with just one trip to the hospital!

I apologise to anyone who may have been missed on the invite list or didn't hear about the party through word of mouth, I was so flat out leading up to it my head has been all over the place!

I also apologise to anyone who I may have suddenly run away from mid-sentence due to being distracted by something in the distance.. I feel like that happens a bit.

I thought it worth mentioning, to everyone who got up and played throughout the day and night and morning and day, the was a ferociously fun amount of great feedback constantly on just how ace the music was, from neighbours as well as others, so impressive!

Preston Skate Massive... What a funky set, everyone loved it!

We have a number of items/ lost property here, so I shall muster the energy to photograph and post tomorrow!

If anyone has photos and/or videos from the night, I would love to see anything and get a copy if possible! I seemed to forget I had a camera through most of the event, now I am kicking myself...

2022 Dream Lab: Resident LabRat/HouseMate callout!

Tired of the usual, boxed in, white-walled lifestyle that is living in a standard housey-house..? Seeking something a little bit... different..?

Well perhaps this just is... THAT, it is..! If that is, indeed what you are seeking...

Because here at The Dream Lab- on High Street in Reservoir, we are searching high and low for a new housemate! Currently 3 of us good folk residing within this creative warehouse space, consisting of a vibrant open plan setup- adjoining one of Melbourne's best costume shops...

It was such a joy to have the Syntax crew back again for 2021, after a number of uncertain years, bringing their light and laughter back to The Dream Lab!

After a lengthy hiatus of echoing silence and almost zero visitors, what a way to end the year that was 2021...

I almost finished my wild card entry but did not follow through this time (like many other times) Now I have another half finished project taking up space... Maybe next year!

Wowing a much smaller crowd of attendees, this year's Syntax Demoparty was not dissapointing (except perhaps for those who could not be here due to capacity restrictions or otherwise...)

Can't wait to have you all back (and more) towards the end of this year!
