Making his return to the ELT stage in Dancing at Lughnasa, is the wonderful Gilbert Gauci. Opening on September 4th, Gil and the extended cast are well into rehearsals for this beautiful show.

Gil has previously graced the stage as the titular character in Get Smart as well as Much Ado About Nothing, bringing big comedic characters to life.

In Dancing at Lughnasa Gil plays family outsider, and father to Michael. He is more jovial and care free than the sisters, however can his casual attitude be trusted?

Meet the next member of our ELT cast for Season 4: Wayne Hay as Jack.

Wayne has been in a number of ELT shows since joining ELT in 2025, as well as joining the committee of management.

In this show he portrays the complex character of Jack, the only brother in the family, who joined the church and has spent most of his life on mission in Africa. He has returned, and is having difficulty returning to life in Ireland, and a family who aren’t used to his presence.

We are thrilled to welcome back to the stage Samuel Chappel as Michael in our season 4 drama “Dancing at Lughnasa” opening September 4th.

A veteran of the ELT stage, Sam has actually performed alongside his family on our stage, a fitting tribute to this show. Playing the unique character of Michael, he will help narrate the show for our audience, and guide their way through his memories of this fateful summer.
