Healing doesn't mean you'll never think about the past again. It means the past stops controlling how you feel, how you behave, and the choices you make today.

Trauma isn't always found in the big obvious moments.

Sometimes it's found in the things that never happened.

The love you didn't receive.

The support you didn't get.

The safety you never felt.

The encouragement that was missing.

Many people spend years trying to understand why they feel the way they do without realising that what was absent can impact us just as much as what was present.

Why Some People Never Change It's not because change is hard.

It's because being the same feels familiar.

Humans often choose familiar discomfort over unfamiliar success.

They'll stay in relationships that hurt them.

Jobs they hate.

Patterns that frustrate them.

Not because they enjoy them.

Because they're known.

Real change requires stepping into uncertainty long enough for a new reality to become familiar

Most people are hypnotising themselves every day without realising it. When people hear the word hypnosis, they often imagine a stage show, someone swinging a pocket watch, or somebody barking commands.

But the truth is, most hypnosis doesn't happen in a hypnosis session.

It happens when someone spends twenty years telling themselves they're not good enough.

It happens when somebody repeatedly says, "I can't do that."

It happens when a person constantly rehearses fear, doubt, worry, rejection, failure, and limitation.

The unconscious mind learns through repetition.

Whatever gets repeated eventually starts feeling true.

So the question isn't whether you're being hypnotised.

The question is: who is doing the hypnotising?

Because for most people, it's their own thought

Have you ever noticed how many people describe themselves by their personality as if it's something they were born with?

"I'm just an anxious person."

"I'm shy."

"I've never been confident."

"That's just who I am."

But what if that's not actually true?

What if your personality is simply your personal reality? A collection of beliefs, thoughts, emotions, behaviours, habits, and experiences that you've accumulated throughout your life.

When you were born, you didn't arrive with anxiety. You didn't arrive worrying about what people thought of you. You didn't arrive with self doubt, low confidence, fear of rejection, or limiting beliefs. Those things were learned over time through your experiences, your upbringing, the people around you, the environment you grew up in, and the meaning you gave to different events in your life.

Your personality has been shaped by thousands of moments. The praise you received. The criticism you received. The successes. The failures. The lessons. The disappointments. The conversations. The beliefs you adopted from family, friends, teachers, and society. All of these experiences helped create the version of you that exists today.

The interesting thing is that many people act as though their personality is fixed, yet the evidence shows otherwise. Think back five years. Are you exactly the same person you were back then? Probably not. Your opinions have changed. Your beliefs have changed. Your confidence has changed. Your priorities have changed. Even the way you see the world has changed.

There may have been a time in your life when you felt more confident than you do now. There may have been a time when you didn't struggle with anxiety. There may have been a time when you were more outgoing, more adventurous, or more willing to take risks. Equally, there may have been times when you were less confident than you are today.

The point is that your personality has never stopped changing.

So maybe the real question isn't "Who am I?"

Maybe the better question is, "Who am I becoming?"

Because if your personality was shaped by experiences, then it can also be reshaped. If beliefs can be learned, they can be unlearned. If patterns can be created, they can be changed.

You are not stuck with the personality you have today.

You are a work in progress, and the person you become tomorrow is being shaped by the thoughts, emotions, decisions, and experiences you choose today.

Bring on August 😵‍💫😴

Over the years I've had people tell me they don't think hypnosis is real, they can't be hypnotised, or they'll never volunteer.

Then 20 minutes into the show they're on stage making the whole room laugh.

That's the thing about hypnosis. It's one of those experiences you have to see for yourself.

This August I'll be bringing the Beyond Reality Comedy Hypnosis Show to:

📍 Brothers Leagues Club Ipswich - 7th August
📍 Hervey Bay Boat Club - 15th August
📍 Caloundra Power Boat Club - 22nd August

If you're looking for something different to do, grab a few friends and come along. Whether you're sitting in the audience or volunteering on stage, you're in for a great night.

I've been lucky enough to perform for thousands of people over the years and one thing never changes...

The laughs are real, the volunteers are real, and no two shows are ever the same.

Tickets available at jadenboonevents.com

Hope to see you there.

People always ask me what's my favourite part of the show.

Honestly?

It's watching someone walk into the room looking nervous, skeptical, or unsure... then leave a couple of hours later with a huge smile on their face after having one of the funniest nights of their life.

That's why I love doing these shows.

If you've been before, thank you for your support.

If you've never been, this might be the perfect time to see what all the fuss is about.

Tickets are available now at jadenboonevents.com

Your Brain Isn't The Problem. Your Obedience To It Is.

This might p**s some people off.

But when did we all start acting like we're victims of our own brains?

"My brain won't switch off."

"My brain keeps making me anxious."

"My brain keeps overthinking."

"My brain keeps sabotaging me."

Really?

Because if your brain is controlling you, who the hell is driving?

Your brain is designed to keep you alive, not necessarily happy.

It constantly scans for danger.

It remembers painful experiences.

It predicts worst-case scenarios.

It creates fear about things that haven't even happened.

That's its job.

The problem is that most people never learn how to challenge it.

Instead, they believe every thought.

Every fear.

Every doubt.

Every story.

And then they wonder why they're stressed, anxious, overwhelmed, and stuck.

Imagine treating every thought like a command.

"I'm not good enough."

Must be true.

"What if I fail?"

Better not try.

"What if something goes wrong?"

Let's panic now.

Most people are being pushed around by a three-pound lump of tissue inside their skull.

Not because it's stronger than them.

Because they never learned how to take back control.

You are not your thoughts.

You are not your fears.

You are not the running commentary in your head.

The voice in your head is often just a collection of old conditioning, old experiences, old beliefs, and old programming.

The question is:

Are you running your mind?

Or is your mind running you?

Because if your mind is calling the shots, you're going to spend your entire life reacting instead of creating.

Everyone keeps talking about being “on a healing journey.” But what the f**k does that even mean anymore? A journey to where? And how long are you planning on dragging it out for?

Because honestly, some people have turned healing into a lifestyle. Every year it’s...
“Still healing.”
“Still processing.”
“Still finding myself.”
“Still working through things.”
At what point do you stop circling the same pain and actually move forward with your life?

Talking about pain became more important than actually changing it. Now people wear trauma like a personality. Anxiety becomes an identity.
Their “healing journey” becomes a never ending story they keep repeating to themselves and everyone around them.
Yes, bad things happen.
Yes, trauma is real.
Yes, people struggle.

But struggle and identity are not the same thing.
Some people have become so attached to their wounds that they don’t even know who they’d be without them.

Because change does not need to take years.
The human mind can change in an instant.
People quit smoking instantly.
People can let go instantly.
People overcome fears instantly.
People change their identity instantly the moment they stop negotiating with themselves.
The problem is most people are emotionally addicted to the story.

The story gives them certainty.
The story gives them sympathy.
The story gives them a reason to stay the same.
And society reinforces it by telling people healing has to be this long, exhausting, complicated spiritual marathon.

No wonder people stay stuck for years.
Sometimes healing isn’t another 10 years of talking about what happened. Sometimes healing is making a f**king decision.

A real one.
Not “I’m trying.”
Not “I’m working on it.”
Not “I’m on a journey.”
A decision that says:
“I’m done carrying this.”
“I’m done identifying with this.”
“I’m done rehearsing this pain every day.”

Because the truth is the moment the mind fully lets go, change can happen unbelievably fast.
Maybe the real question is...do you actually want to heal or do you just want to keep telling people you’re healing?

That’s why I challenge this whole “healing journey” culture. Because for some people, it’s genuinely helping. But for a lot of others?
It’s become socially accepted stagnation.
A never ending process where people talk about healing more than they actually heal.

And maybe that sounds harsh but maybe some people need to hear it. You don’t get your life back by endlessly analysing your pain.
At some point, you have to stop revisiting the wound and start building a future that no longer revolves around it.

Maybe this post will trigger some people.
Maybe it’ll wake some people up.
But I’d rather challenge people to change than encourage them to stay stuck.
Thoughts?

And if you’re genuinely ready to stop carrying the same s**t year after year and actually move forward message me.

One of the biggest breakthroughs people experience is realising they are not their past. Their past influenced them, conditioned them, and shaped them… but it does not have to define the rest of their life.
