After reaching critical mass with the 500+ LaserDisc collection I turned my focus (back) to CompactDisc. Being able to retrospectively accumulate special editions and other collectible versions of past albums then play them, rip them and carry them anywhere is a refreshing activity that keeps album culture in focus but with that mobility but that vinyl prohibits. Whatever works of course!

Today’s Mid-Day Matinee is Star Wars Episode 1 : The Phantom Menace. I chickened out of watching my new Japanese AC-3 LaserDisc and elected to watch it on Disney+ aka Streaming 4K Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos. It’s really nice and creamy with no film grain in sight. Like it’s made of carefully made soap. Love it even so and holding it up for all to see my copy of this great film!
