AUDITION Call - Tom Stoppard's masterpiece ARCADIA at Centenary Theatre.

It's mathematically simple. BRIDESHEAD + BRIDGERTON + AUSTEN = ARCADIA.

I'm ecstatic to be directing the Queensland Revival of this incredible play later in the year.

AUDITION date & time: Sunday 26 April, 10.00 am. Centenary Theatre, Chelmer. Short monologue in RP required. Please register to audition.

Rehearsals commence mid August. Performances run late October to late November.

Let's have a fantastic time bringing this wonderful play to life. We can all fall into the HaHa together.

Tonight is closing night and we are just in time to profile our Iphigenia, played by the incomparable Rebecca Munasinghe.

Bec delivered a powerhouse performance every night to manifest her stunning portrayal of Iphigenia. Audiences said:

"Wow. What a compelling performance. Physically and vocally, she really drove the character forward."

Friday is ANGEL NIGHT in ARGOS! It's all S*X, DEATH & HIGH ART.

Shimmer with the intoxication of EROS, The ANGEL OF THE CENTURY OF GOD, played with mesmerising beauty by the astonishing Lachlan Mills.

Throughout the run of THE DRAGON QUEEN OF ARGOS, audiences have been overcome by this young actor's incredible, on-stage joie de vivre. To quote them (and we realise some are a little over the top, but this is really what they said):

"He played violin beautifully, he sang counter tenor divinely, he danced intoxicatingly. Wow! And then he was the sexy dragon- beast source of Clytemnestra 's power. I'm a fan."

"I think the line in the play was "dripping with desire". His Angel was so gorgeously 21st century pansexual. I was dripping with desire as well."

"His skin is white as snow. His lips red as blood. His limbs languorously wonderful. He is so beautiful that I couldn't take my eyes of him. He literally shimmered. I wanted to reach out and touch him, taste him. I wanted the Angel to pick me!"

"Lachlan is fantastic. What a terrific young actor. He really committed to the role. He really went for it, and took us with him. Well done mate. You nailed it."

"I think the term is nipplicious. Totally yummy. Am I being a bit naughty?"

"I was impressed. This young man is a quadruple threat. Acting, singing, dancing, playing the violin. Yep. Loved it."

"He really has gravitas. I fell in love with him. I was compelled. I was intoxicated."

"Lachlan mesmerised me. All those incredible costume changes, creating different energies and elements of his character. He so created Eros for us. He looked stunning, sublime even, in every costume. And so fu***ng sexy. I loved him in those hot pants. And I loved the fact that as an actor, he wasn't afraid to go there and take us there with him."

IT'S RED SHOES Time in Argos. They are the stealth bomb! Think Hans Christian Anderson. Think Oz. Think Dance til you Drop. Think "There's no place like home." Think Dorothy and the Witch.
