Plasticene (2026)
Archival Pigment Print on Ilford Smooth Pearl
Plasticene explores the omnipresence of plastic within the Anthropocene, where synthetic materials have become inseparable from the environments we inhabit. Through the construction of image-objects, I combine photography with found and manufactured plastics, blurring the boundaries between image and object, nature and the artificial.
Influenced by the thinking of Timothy Morton, this work questions the idea of nature as something pure or untouched. Instead, it suggests we already exist within a world where organic and synthetic materials are deeply entangled.
