✨ School holidays are over… now it’s time to get creative again! 🎨

If you’ve been thinking about coming along to our Friday Nights at The Fitz, we’d absolutely love to see you.

Numbers have been quiet over the holidays and we’d really love to build a regular group of creative locals. Whether you paint, draw, crochet, journal, stitch, scrapbook or just want a relaxing night out with like-minded people, there’s a place for you.

Our vision is to grow these evenings into something really special. We’d love to start inviting local (or visiting) artists to run workshops and teach different skills - but to make that happen, we need consistent support and attendance.

So grab a friend, bring along a project (or use our supplies), pop something on the grazing board and enjoy a relaxed evening of creativity, conversation and connection.

💕 Every person who comes along helps us build something special for our community.

Fridays | 6pm | The Fitz Gallery
$15 per session
RSVP preferred by Thursday: 0407 470 337

Come along this Friday—we’d love to welcome some new faces (and see our regulars back too!). 🌿🎨

🎶 Closed Mic at The Fitz – TOMORROW

Come along and see what Closed Mic is all about!

Whether you’re keen to jump up, dust off that old guitar, or simply come see what it’s all about, everyone’s welcome.

It’s the first time Closed Mic has come to Ravensthorpe, and if the community gets behind it, hopefully it won’t be the last.

See you at The Fitz!

CLOSED MIC is heading to 𝐑𝐀𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐑𝐏𝐄!

Sunday the 19th of July from 12pm to 4pm @ The Fitz

Playing music in Ravy and looking for a place to have a jam?

Closed Mic is a space to meet other musicians, jam, build confidence and talk all things music.
Unlike an Open Mic which is about building confidence in performing; we create the Closed Mic space so that just the muso's are all together working on their craft with out a big daunting audience.
Drums, Bass Guitar/amp, Electric Guitar/amp and mics provided.
Feel free to BYO instruments.

Still not sure? Pop in Sunday and have a look.
This is a free meet up thanks to Ravensthorpe Regional Arts Council / Rave About Arts and big cheers to for hosting .o.i.s.e in our first Closed Mic in Ravy!

Let's MAKE SOME NOISE RAVY!

❄️ Cold night? Perfect excuse to get cosy at Friday’s at The Fitz - TONIGHT from 6pm 🎨🍷

The heater will be on, the red wine weather is officially here, and there’s something pretty special about slowing down, getting creative and having a chat on a winter’s night.

Bring along a project you’re working on (or just come and use our materials), BYO drink and a little something for the grazing board. No pressure, no experience needed - just a warm, welcoming space to create, connect and unwind.

Grab a friend or come solo… we’d love to see some new faces ✨

For those wondering what’s been happening with the Pottery Shed… here’s a little update, because while we may have been quiet, we definitely haven’t been standing still.
After 3 years without pottery, we are so excited to say that we have finally completed our fundraising for a brand new kiln and pottery shed renovations, and what a journey it has been!

Behind the scenes, our committee has been working incredibly hard to make this happen. From catering events, waitressing, applying for grants, fundraising and saying yes to just about anything that could bring funds our way, we’ve slowly but surely chipped away to get us where we are today.
Thanks to the generosity of our community, grants and fundraising efforts, we have been able to complete some much-needed upgrades including:
✨ A brand new kiln✨ Two new windows for better ventilation✨ New gutters to stop leaves filling the shed✨ Ventilation for our kiln room✨ Insulation throughout the shed so pottery can happen comfortably all year round -hot or cold.

And we’re not stopping there.
We are now in Week 3 of our pottery refresher course, led by local Onshore Potter - Cooper Smallman; a pretty special full-circle moment, considering Cooper first learnt pottery in our shed 6 years ago through ARTitude Ravensthorpe Regional Arts Council

Since then, Cooper has built an incredible skillset through mentorships and workshops including:
• Bill Meiklejohn – Willyabrup Dreaming Pottery• Ian Beniston – Sensei Pots• Cher Shackleton – Wood Fire WA Workshop• Eric Landon (Tortus) workshop• Plus plenty of time learning alongside Cat Tink right here in Ravy.
Cooper has certainly been keeping us busy, teaching some of us old dogs new tricks and others who are starting from absolutely scratch!

Right now, we’re working through how to make this into a strong, sustainable and viable community pottery shed again, one that can be enjoyed by the whole community for years to come.

So, if it’s seemed a little quiet, please know we’ve actually been doing the complete opposite, quietly working hard in the background to rebuild something really special.

A huge thank you to our major supporters Shire of Ravensthorpe Hopetoun Future Fund, and First Quantum Minerals for believing in this project and helping make it possible.

And to everyone who trusted us with an event, whether it was catering or waitressing, thank you. Every event, every dollar and every bit of support helped us get here.
Stay tuned… pottery is coming back to The Fitz. 🏺
