The dream has become your reality.

In the lead-up to our 70mm season of THE ODYSSEY (surprise!), we're travelling backwards in time to re-visit the mind-bending genius of Christopher Nolan with a 12-Film Odyssey. From sleek sci-fi action blockbusters to edgy superheroes to expansive historical epics, Nolan has spent decades challenging and mesmerising audiences with his cinematic staggering visions.

🎞 Memento, The Batman Trilogy, and Inception will be presented on 35mm. Dunkirk, Tenet and The Odyssey will be presented on 70mm.

Screening from 5-16 July. Tickets on sale now. The Odyssey tickets on sale 15 June. Discounted 3 and 6-film passes are available.

B**g Joon-ho delivers one of cinema's best ever police procedurals with MEMORIES OF MURDER, screening this Saturday and Monday as our Cult Classics selection.

Blending the hallmark tropes of the crime thriller with his own zingy style, wit and razor-sharp social commentary, director B**g tells the story of two simple-minded detectives (masterfully played by Song Kang-ho and Kim Sang-kyung) assigned to a double murder investigation in a South Korean province.

Hayao Miyazaki x airplanes 🛩

Miyazaki has long held a fascination for aviation, stemming from his childhood and his father's work in aircraft manufacturing. From a respect for the mechanics and engineering required for human flight through to what flying can represent symbolically - freedom, independence, transcendence - this passion shows up frequently in his work.

One of the strongest examples is surely PORCO ROSSO (1992), the animated adventure of a former WWI fighter pilot-turned-bounty hunter cursed with the head of a pig. Light-hearted, silly and absurd, PORCO ROSSO is perhaps Ghibli's most "blockbuster"-esque outing, however it is grounded by its serious themes and backdrop of the rise of facism in Italy.

See it this Wednesday 3 June in its original Japanese or the English-dub on Sunday 7 June as part of our The World of Studio Ghibli series.
