COULD YOU BE THE NEXT YOUNG ARCHIE??
NEXT WEDNESDAY April 24th we will be running a workshop of mixed mediums for local budding artists to create a portrait of someone who is special to them.
10am-12noon or where ever and however long it takes. $40per student. Please Pm me for a spot!
Students will be invited to use: pastels, conte’, acrylics, watercolour, Lino printing and collage.

ENTRIES NOW OPEN !
Artists aged 5-18 years.

Budding artists are invited to submit a portrait for the Tamworth Young Archie competition, as part of our family-focused activities for the Archibald Prize 2023 regional tour.

The portrait should be of a person who is special to you, and plays a significant role in your life.

You have until midnight on the 13th May to submit your entry. Entries must be either A4 or A3 and are limited to work on paper.

AFTER SCHOOL ART CLASSES QUIRINDI starting in Term 3. 8 classes commencing on Wednesday 26th July 4pm- 5.30pm. Students will investigate a wide range of mediums extending their knowledge and art process. $25 per class. Limited enrolments. Awaiting Creative Kids Provider approval. NEUROGRAPHIC DRAWING
The connection is made by the brain cells called neurons being activated in a way that brings awareness and mindfulness. This awareness and mindfulness can turn stress into calm. Neurographic art has been used as a healing aid for stress relief and anxiety.

TODAY Budding artists had a great time first tuning into some “zen” music that created a sense of calm which was reflected in their work and colour choice.

Then we rocked on to “highway to hell” (you just sang that little bit, didn’t you) to which totally changed the tune of the room and the work and colour palette.

WORDS ON THE STREET!!
The artists had an amazing morning designing their own tag design and spray painting backgrounds, creating gradients, masking and graffiti style.
Awesome artworks were the results - great day in the shed!!

FEATHERED FRIENDS
What a great morning in The ART shed yesterday. The mixed media feathers were amazing. Students learnt how to stitch, gold leaf foil, create backgrounds, the value of positive and negative space and creating texture using paint and posca. What a day! Thanks for coming and we look forward to your return to the ART Shed soon.

**BOOKED OUT! STREET ART AND SKATEBOARD DECKS
Our street art, graffiti on skateboard deck workshop is booked out for tomorrow. Thank you to those who jumped on and booked in we have no more spots available. If students could dress in warm clothing as we will have all doors and windows open for ventilation in the spray booths. Students are requested to start researching their designs and potential arts works as we have limited time to practice.
Looking forward to a morning of street art.
