Announcing our Term 3 concert where our KYO musicians will be performing the Saint-Saens Organ Symphony in C minor, von Weber Viola Concerto performed by our very own Michael Monahan, and an original composition by Henrik Hogg, one of our talented bassists, titled Pachanga!

On the 21st of June, KYO had our 2nd concert of the year playing music in the theme of ‘Carnival’: Espana- Chabrier, the Three Cornered Hat Suite No 2- de Falla, Orpheus in the Underworld Overture-Offenbach, and the Academic Festival Overture- Brahms. Thank you to everyone for coming out!

Last week members of our orchestra participated in a meet the orchestra at Willoughby East Preschool! This was such a fantastic opportunity for the young kids to see lots of different instruments and learn about orchestral music.

Felix Mendelssohn’s String Symphony in D Major! Hear it live in ONE WEEK!

Join the Kuringai Youth Orchestra on Sunday 29th March 2pm at Abbotsleigh’s Assembly Hall as they perform Saint-Saëns’ Marche from Suite Algerienne, Mendelssohn’s String Symphony No. 2 and Overture for Winds, and Grieg’s Four Norwegian Dances.

The concert is around 1.5 hours in a lovely, easy to access venue and afternoon tea is provided after the performance. Raffle tickets can be purchased on the day to win prizes during the intermission.
