Nicholas Projects was co-founded by James Little and Benjamin Aitkem in 2016 and was an independent not-for-profit project phsycial on space that aimed to support artists at all stages of their career over a two year program, Located in the Nicholas Building, we acknowledge the building's long history of supporting creative projects and are proud to contribute to its ever evolving artistic communi

ty. Since the end of the project and James amicable department, 'NP' has evolved into the Nicholas Projects Presents/Foundation, the former following the same ethos in an itinerant capacity and the latter a commitment to the donation of Benjamin's art collection which includes Ian Burns, Jonny Niesche, Helen Johnson, Ramesh Mario Nithiyendran, Gareth Sansom among 90 other works which will mark the end of the legacy that is the project, Nicholas. Nicholas Projects would like to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which he lives and works. He pays his respects to their Elders, past and present, and the Aboriginal Elders of other communities who may be here today. Ben also publicly acknowledges the effort of co-founder James Little where without the continuation of this passion project would not be possible.
