We've been pretty lucky over the last few years to have talented people lend their skills to helping the choir capture moments like these. Lordrobsatan was the legend behind the camera for our Chapel Off Chapel show this year, and we're ever grateful for shots like these which we'll be sharing with some behind the scenes commentary.
A lot goes on to bring over 50 singers, 4 musicians, a full production crew and a great audience together for two hours - and after months and months of preparation, it's all over in a flash!
One thing we really love is how a Heavy Choir show cuts across audiences. Metalheads who wouldn't normally give a s**t about choirs come along and genuinely love what they hear and then of course, we have family, friends and strangers who either get roped into coming by someone they know in the choir or find out about the show by chance and it piques their curiosity - these awesome people come along and they are just expressing pure joy and surprise and thrill in their reception.
π€"It was a great show and what an awesome production!! My face still hurts from smiling so much! It was soooo good. Like nothing I've ever experienced before. I had a blast!!"
Lots of people have no idea what to expect with a Heavy Choir show but find themselves drawn into the energy, creativity and musical arrangements that we do our collective best to bring to the stage in a thrilling and unique way. It's a special experience we carve out for our community to participate in, and the audience becomes an important part of that journey:
π€"I was expecting some sort of choir recital, but it was like nothing I've ever been to before. Unbelievably good and a quality production. Such an awesome vibe & atmosphere!"
So if you came along by invitation or chance, we hope you loved what you experienced and we thank you for being part of it!
