Just a friendly reminder about the next Portland CEMA Writers Group seasion:

Saturday 20th June, 2026
10am - 12pm, Large Meeting Room, Portland Library

During this time together we will hold our Annual General Meeting and our "Writers Bootcamp." More info about both is below:

✍️ Writers Bootcamp

Working with a creative writing inspiration card deck, we will bypass the inner critic and the compulsion to self-edit at the initial creative phase. With prompts drawn from the deck, we will write, write, write! The result doesn’t have to be “good,” although it may well be! The point is to “just do it!”

Please bring pen and paper, or a device like a laptop or tablet (whichever you prefer).

Free for CEMA Members. Non-members are welcome to one free "come and try" session.

✍️ Annual General Meeting

This will be fairly brief, but it is essential.

All CEMA groups are required to hold an AGM prior to the Portland CEMA Inc AGM in July.

At the AGM we will hear reports from the Convenor and Secretary/Treasurer, elect leaders for the next financial year, and conduct general business.

Out Assistant Director Michelle who has been an inspiration to us and somehow kept Corey in line for this production.

You would have seen Lewanna in previous productions. Her growth on stage has been excellent to watch internally and she has taken on the challenge of playing; Newspaperman, Young Parsi, Rev. Wilson Servant and Chinese Broker.
