FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
Q: Do your actors get paid? A: No. All actors, directors and backstage crews are volunteers. In fact, they pay a membership fee to participate. Our writers get a small payment.
Q: Can we get tickets at the door? A: Yes, provided we don't sell out. It really helps volunteers to know the audience size in advance for catering purposes. We want to have enough biscuits and cuppas.
Q: Why is there a booking fee? A: Portland Arts Centre manage ticketing. They have ongoing costs charged by the booking system. We also "hire" their staff to manage the ticketsales at each show.
