Opening Night – Abigail Wiese | HOME

Tonight is the opening night of HOME, a beautiful new exhibition by local artist Abigail Wiese at Home at Roto House.

Canvas Momentz had the pleasure of printing Abigail’s fine art editions and framing many of the original works that will be available for purchase throughout the exhibition. It’s always a privilege to play a small part in bringing the work of our talented local artists to life.

Every artwork and photograph that comes through our studio has a story. Today we'd like to share a little of ours.

Canvas Momentz is a locally owned and operated mother-and-daughter business, and art has always been at the heart of what we do.

Jo, owner, gallery director and framer, studied a Bachelor of Fine Arts. With years of experience in professional framing, she understands that every artwork deserves to be presented beautifully and protected for years to come.

Kelly manages our fine art printing. Having studied a Bachelor of Creative Industries and a Diploma of Graphic Design, she ensures every print is carefully colour-managed to guarantee your artwork or photograph looks exactly as they should.

Being artists ourselves means we don't just print and frame artwork—we understand it. We know how much time, creativity and emotion goes into every piece, whether it's an original painting, a treasured family photograph or a limited edition print.

When you choose a local business like ours, you're not sending your work through an automated production line. You're trusting it to people who genuinely care about the outcome and who treat every piece as if it were our own.

It’s been fantastic to watch grow over the years, but as the event has expanded, promotion of participating artists seems to have decreased. Supporting our talented local creatives is what makes this event so special — there would be no ArtWalk without ART.

Over the past few years, we’ve heard from both artists and attendees that it can be difficult to find exhibiting artists on the night without a directory. To help connect everyone, we’d love artists to leave a comment below and let us know where we can find you during the event.
