Dear Friends of the Port Lincoln Art Prize
As a valued follower we wanted
to share some exciting news about the Bendigo Community Bank Port Lincoln Art
Prize 2027
The Art Prize will be held LATER THAN USUAL in 2027, with the exhibition moving from its traditional January timing to February and March
We’re also delighted to announce that, thanks to the ongoing support of
Bendigo Community Bank Port Lincoln,
the MAJOR AWARD HAS INCREASED from $8,500 to
$10,000.
“This is the largest Major Award in the history of the Art Prize” and reflects Bendigo Community Bank Port Lincoln’s commitment to supporting local artists,
enriching our cultural life, and helping build a vibrant and connected community
Award categories for 2027 include:
Major Award - $10,000
Local Artist Award
Youth Award
Highly Commended Youth Award
Jane Hutchinson People’s Choice Award
Sculpture Award
We are also excited about discussions currently underway regarding the Sculpture Award, and we are hopeful of announcing an increase in prize money for this category in the coming months
We wanted to share this information early so that artists and supporters can plan ahead
and avoid any confusion with the usual January timing

Entries Close: Saturday 16 January 2027
Artwork Delivery: Monday 18 January to Saturday 6 February 2027
Opening Night & Awards Presentation: Friday 12 February 2027
Exhibition Dates: Saturday 13 February to Saturday 27 March 2027
