Born in Garramilla (Darwin) and based in Naarm (Melbourne), Candice Lorrae is a Jawoyn and Torres Strait Islander songwriter whose music blends shimmering guitars, layered synths, indie/rock, dream-pop and country into a sound that’s distinctly her own. Port Fairy Folk Festival marks the first stop on her Paperbark & Lilies national tour, sharing stories of her father and the family fish trap and the Country that has carried them.

After thirty-five years of being at the forefront of the ever-evolving musical landscape of New Orleans, two-time Grammy Award winner Jon Cleary brings audiences from near and far a musical tour-de-force that showcases the grit, funk and joy that’s packed concert halls from his home in New Orleans to
London, Tokyo and beyond. “Sophisticated, nasty, good-time, low-down funk is the folk music of New Orleans.” - Jon Cleary.

We can’t wait to welcome Jon Cleary to our Festival in 2027, get your tickets today!

If you’ve ever been to the Folkie, you’ve would have come across the Koroit Lions Club. They’re the friendly faces directing traffic, giving directions and often the first people you see as you head towards the Festival gates! When the town returns to its sleepy state, the Koroit Lions club keeps working hard at their superb Op Shop in Koroit and completing projects that benefit the whole community.

AmaidĂ is a Brisbane-based folk trio playing songs and
instrumentals drawn from Irish, Scottish and Australian
tradition. Accordion, fiddle, guitar and banjo drive a sound built on big bass and a heavy beat, the kind that gets you moving and keeps you there. Since hitting the festival scene in 2024 they have been on a steep upward trajectory, playing stages across Australia and the world.

We are so keen to have AmaidĂ on our stages for the 50th Port Fairy Folk Festival, taking us right back to our roots! Get your Final Release Tickets today!
