A special piece of Port Fairy Spring Music Festival history is now available on Spotify and streaming platforms 🎶✨

Originally launched at the 2001 Festival, Reflections was created as part of the 2001 Festival’s celebration of Swiss culture and launched by the then Consul-General of Switzerland.

Featuring performances by David Berlin and Len Vorster, the recording includes works by Bloch, Honegger, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Saint-Saëns, Faure, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff and more - alongside Michael Easton’s Tales of Lac Leman, inspired by traditional Swiss themes.

The album cover features Ferdinand Hodler’s 1904 painting Reflections on Lake Thun, which inspired the title of the recording itself.

More than two decades later, this beautiful recording can now be rediscovered by audiences everywhere.

Listen now via streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube.

Looking back at Lior + Eclective - one of the unforgettable moments from the 2025 Port Fairy Spring Music Festival ✨

Lior alongside string quartet Eclective, brought warmth, intimacy and extraordinary artistry to Port Fairy - the kind of performance that completely draws you in and still has those who attended talking about it.

Set inside the beautiful St John’s Anglican Church, built in 1856, the evening was made even more special by the atmosphere of this historic space. With its stunning acoustics and Heritage Victoria listing, St John’s has become one of Port Fairy’s most treasured venues.

A truly special night shared between artist and audience.

We’re still thinking about Eva... ✨

As we await the 2026 program and all it holds, we’re reflecting on one of the unforgettable moments from last year. Notably, the world premiere of Eva.

Based on the tragic 1878 Loch Ard shipwreck off the Southwest Victorian coast, Eva told the extraordinary true story of survivor Eva Carmichael and the unimaginable aftermath she endured. Featuring a meticulously researched libretto by Mary-Jane Gething and an original score by Co-Artistic Director Stefan Cassomenos, the work was powerful, emotional and deeply connected to this region’s history.

The Reardon Theatre was sold out, with guests also waiting in the wings for a glimpse of this magic.

Moments like this are exactly why we can’t wait to share what’s coming next for 2026…

Big things are happening behind the scenes… ✨
As the 2026 PFSMF program takes shape (and trust us - it’s going to be beautiful), our Co-Artistic Director, Monica Curro, has stepped into an exciting new role as Creative Director of MSO+, which is a bold new initiative from the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, shaping the future of how music is created and experienced.
And yes… she’s bringing that energy straight to Port Fairy (as she always does - along with Stefan Cassomenos).
Think bold ideas.
Stunning sounds.
Moments you won’t see anywhere else.
2026 is going to be something special đź’«
