CASTING NOW — ORPHANS (2026 Season)
The Clink Theatre invites actors to audition for our July production of Orphans, a gripping three‑hander exploring family, survival, and the unexpected bonds that change us.
📅 Show dates:
July 16–19 & July 23–26, 2026
This is a rare opportunity to take on complex, emotionally rich roles in an acclaimed modern drama.
Treat — 20s to early 30s
The older brother. Tough, volatile, street‑smart, and deeply damaged. Treat survives by controlling everything around him — especially Phillip. He’s a product of abandonment and fear, masking vulnerability with aggression.
Actor qualities: emotional intensity, physical presence, ability to shift between menace and fragility.
Phillip — Late teens to mid‑20s
The younger brother. Sheltered, anxious, and childlike due to Treat’s overprotection. Phillip is intelligent and curious, but terrified of the outside world. As the story unfolds, he discovers independence and unexpected strength.
Actor qualities: innocence, sensitivity, strong emotional arc, ability to portray growth and awakening.
Harold — 40s to 60s
A mysterious, charismatic older man who becomes a father‑figure to the brothers. Harold is calm, wise, and oddly gentle — but with a past that hints at danger. He disrupts the brothers’ world and forces them to confront who they are.
Actor qualities: warmth, authority, subtle humour, emotional depth, ability to command the stage with stillness.
