A sneak peek at what I've been painting on eco printed cloth I have dyed. A baby bunny sitting beneath geraniums looking very cute. The imprint from the geranium leaves and flowers are really nice and made a strong imprint. I had picked them from my garden. This will make a really nice wall hanging 😊

I updated my profile photo with the finished painting of this ecoprint. The first photo shows you the dyed cloth from using native flowers plus a gerbera from a bunch of native flowers I had bought specifically to experiment with. It looks quite a mishmash really.

I have been dreaming about painting a horse muster, as I observed this dyed cloth I began to see lots of horses. I started in the top left and magically as I moved across the cloth other horses and riders appeared in a circle with rocks, trees, ferns and grasses. I would never have thought so much would flow from one piece of cloth.

I will make a wall hanging from this sewing it on to linen. It will be part of my up and coming Eco Print Art Exhibition in the middle of this year at West Gippsland Art Centre.

Excitement is an understatement of how I am feeling. 😄🧡🧡

Golly gosh!... It's amazing how quickly a week goes by. Tomorrow is the next Still Life art class at Oak Hill Gallery in Mornington if anyone would like to join me from 10.30am to 1.30pm. Yes 😊 3 hours of drawing or painting to your hearts content.

These are a couple of photos from last week's class. How lovely is this little water colour study of a teacup and saucer 🧡 It is really sweet. Come along and enjoy being relaxed there is no pressure to paint like a grand master or comparison to anyone else. Lets make Painting and Drawing a joy not a chore 😄❤

I plucked up the courage and asked Annie, the owner of Nature's Beauty Spa Salon in Poowong if she would like one of my paintings on one of the walls in her shop. The answer was YES 😊😍

So... here hangs one of my horse paintings 'Pearl, A Lovely Lady' I painted in 2018. Pearl, a Perchon, used to trott around the Melbourne City Centre taking visitors and tourists on a site seeing tour of Melbourne's attractions for several years before retiring to the South Gippsland countryside. She has passed away now but I am glad I had the opportunity to photograph her grazing serenely in her paddock.

Now she gazes at those who come for beautiful fingers nails, pedicures (I am a fan of these) facials or to buy gifts and beauty products. I am grateful 😊

This afternoon was the opening of February's art exhibition 'True Colours' at Oak Hill Gallery in Mornington. I had such a lovely afternoon soaking up the vibes, chatting, and enjoying looking at all the different artworks and art styles on show.

I have three works of art on display this month which I am proud of.
A pastel landscape 'Sunshine after the Rain' of a farm close to Poowong in the Strzelecki's, a beautiful area.
An acrylic painting of a Stralitzia 'Eden's Bird of Paradise'. One of my favorite flowers.
And a fun painting of 'Daisie' a Holstein cow wearing a garland of flowers😊 The Poowong area has many dairies I have lots of these cows as my neighbours 🐄 They are in my pastel painting too.

It was a fun afternoon walking through the exhibition sipping a glass of bubbly. If you find yourself at a loose end it is worth a visit. There are so many art styles and mediums on show and for sale.

Here we go! I have located the photographs from last week's Still Life art class at Oak Hill Gallery, Mornington. I had three students one painted using pastels, another enjoys drawing and did the grey lead drawing. The student starting to paint with water colour is a beginner. Three very different painting from three different views. Pretty darn good eh....
