Pooncarie Racing Club With a long and proud history, the Pooncarie Racing Club was established in 1891 with the annual Pooncarie Cup being held each Spring.

The annual Pooncarie Cup is an enjoyable unique outback experience with traditional country horse racing. The township of Pooncarie is set on the banks of the Darling River making it a fantastic opportunity to bring along the family for a fun weekend of outback racing, camping & fishing. Pooncarie is easily accessible on a sealed road, 115km North-East of Wentworth.

Centrally located within walking distance of the Racecourse & the Pooncarie township.
Shuttle bus service also operating on Raceday 🚌

BBQ facilities & RV dump point and upgraded amenities block available 🚿

$10 for unpowered sites
$20 for powered sites (plus $20 key deposit)
$1 for use of the showers.
Laundry use is card only.
Payment can be made at the Pooncarie Hotel & Port Pitstop Shop.
No bookings taken “first in best dressed”

BBQ, kids play equipment & public toilets are also located in the park behind the hall.
